In anticipation of my 470's delivery next week, I've done some reading and I infer that the default setting from the factory is for 50 amps service, and it's configurable via the J-1000 control panel (and not dip switches, etc). Great! ...But in reading the 2012 Jacuzzi user manuals, I couldn't find instructions on how to actually perform the change.
I have Googled a bit, but come up dry. So I apologize if this is a FAQ, but does anyone know the procedure?
Cheers!

I can't remember the sequence and can get it on Monday for you, but you call always try 1-800 call your dealer ;)

Called the dealer, said it would require a post-delivery service call.
Anyone know the trick? I'm pretty competent with the computers. :)

can't they tell you how to do it over the phone once your spa is wired and running?

Dealer (guy on the phone, not my salesguy) said no, that it required a service call. That's why it's not in the manual.

Nice! Someone send that man a beer for that sort of forum service.

Call made. Jim's awesome!
Got the instructions, and will attempt to do this myself on Wednesday before going for that service call!

Years ago when I bought my J350, my local dealer ran a copy of a page in the tech manual showing which jumper pins to move and where to move them.
Not a big deal, but I guess they either want the Svc Call money, or maybe worried about liability.
It took all of 60 seconds to move the jumper pins.

Thats still true with the 200 and 300 series on the 400 series there is a bit more to it. No jumpers just programing, but it's easy..

Prayers: do you still have the tech sheet showing which jumper to move on your J350? I just bought a used one and it is set to 50 amps. I know this is a very old post it hopefully someone can still help me.
Thanks!
