Has anyone heard anything from needaspa since bid dad stepped in? He spoke about a 6500 Optima. Was he smoking something? Inhaling too much chlorine?
I have been quoted 7800 with the normal package of goodies. I hear 7500 is average?
Does Sundance ever offer manufacturer rebates?

wow..in denver its 8500..maybe 8200

Needaspa's $6500 price was based on his notion that the dealer paid $6000 and a $500 "dealer profit" was more than adequate compensation.
From what's been posted here, any price in the $7500 range, give or take, is a really good price. I can tell you I paid more than that (and I survived).
Try negotiating in good faith, make the best deal possible, buy your spa and enjoy it.

dazedand confused, ;)
With the info that I now have, I feel that $8000 is a very good price. My studies of past sales as indicated on this site over a 2 year period showed that average prices of the Optima and Cameo were $7700 to $8000. The data at the 2 sigma points were $7300 and $8400. So, $8400 is a high price that might be warranted in a high cost area or with a dealer who needs that to cover overhead and make some profit. $7300 is a low price that comes from a tightly run operation that minimizes its overhead and shaves it profit margin.
needaspa did not and will not purchase an Optima at $6500, since that is below cost of wholesale price plus overhead of all dealers. Unless, someone actually wants to give him a spa.
I thought needaspa was funny while it lasted! It was also ridiculous and wasted everyone's time. It did get us to think.
