Title: what temperature for the summer?
Post by: 999 on March 27, 2012, 04:29:15 pm
Had my got tub in October and been running it at 38 degrees C. Weather has warmed up and the sun is shining. Tonight it felt too hot, so turned it down to 37.

Our summers in the UK vary but are often around 20-25 degrees.

What temp do you recommend for the summer?

comfortable temp. for the summer would be along the lines of swimming pool temp....84-88 degrees Fahrenheit which would be around 29-31degrees Celsius

To me it depends on your intentions.  If your wanting to spend 40 minutes in your tub in a social setting you need it cooler.  If you want to spend 15 minutes  relaxing sore muscles, then I turn it up, but on average my tub is at 104 from Oct to May and 102 from May to Oct, with some minor variations as needed.  (Sorry I don't do celcius  ;) )

I set my Hot Tub at 101 F most of the time winter and summer. If I know the grand babies are coming for a "swim" I let it drift down to 95 F.
