Title: Limelight Pluse or Sundance Optima is price difference worth it ?
Post by: southsidedean on June 12, 2011, 01:30:17 pm
Price included on both set up, cover, chemicals, steps. Now this difference...Limelight Pulse was $8,000. plus 6% sales tax. Sundance Optima $11,400. Tax included plus $500.00 VISA rebate from Sundance. Sure looked like the Sundance was of better quality, both had the comfort and appeal, but felt Sundance had better filtering system. Is the $3,000. worth the difference? Hope someone out there can help and clarify for me ... Thanks for your comments in advance. Also, what your feel about the prices?

There is no answer to that. Both are good spas and both filter just fine and if they were same price then it would be an obvious answer but only you can decide if the Optima is worth the extra $3k to you. Try to wet test them. You may find both are great and the $3k is better spent elsewhere or you may find a real preference.

After a wet test in The Sundance Optima our decision was made.... Yep our choice is made and
One of the main drawing points was the foot jets in the Optima and after reading all the comments in the forums seem like you can't go wrong with a Sundance. Now the waiting anticipates for delivery.... I'll keep you post in the coming weeks. Thanks for your comments. :)

The foot jets are what sold us on the Opitima in 2007.

Not one problem with this tub except the control board needed replacing this year, but it was still under warranty so it didn't cost anything.

Talk about apple's to oranges, no way you can compare a limelight to a Optima.

  You chose wisely Grasshopper!

Actually he wasn't, he was comparing the Optima versus the Limelight with $3k left over in his bathing suit pocket. We see this a lot here, its not always simply spa versus spa, sometimes there is more to the decision so there really was no "wise" choice here, it was only about making the right choice for him.

Either way it doesn't matter at this point.

When I first started looking ,I didn't know a apple from a orange and was going to buy one on the internet But thanks to the forums I learn to make sure you do a wet test and find a good dealer you are comfortable with and will be there when you need them.

I could not agree more. We had the same process during the past couple of weeks and ended up on the same decission - in Norway :-) This and other internet sites has been helpfull making a "qualified" decission. Can not wait to have the spa delivered. Then the dark fall and winter can come...
