A story of epic failure: We recently moved due to transfer in husband's job down from AK to the lower 48. Since the move was paid for by his work, there was no question the hot tub would come this us (yeah!). Well, apparently the moving company has at least one yahoo working for them. Instead of hiring a crane operator to place the tub in our backyard, they rented a truck and tried to do it themselves. Apparently they did not extend the outriggers as needed to support the truck. The weight of the boom crane (4-5 tons, who knew?) tipped the truck entirely over, which dropped the tub and the boom came down on top of the tub.
No one was hurt thank goodness. But, in addition to the tub, our back fence is destroyed, as is some of our trees and shrubbery, and our lawn is ripped up too.
Instead of us and the sweet tub, now it is us and the insurance adjuster.

I see this kind of thing all the time in the building trade, people try to cut corners and more often than not it comes back to bite them on the ass. It's just a crying shame that their corner cutting happened to you.
I hope they are footing the bill for everything, not only the tub.
