Title: State Fair (Second Trip)

Went to the State Fair of Texas for the second time on Friday October 14. Took my lovely wife and daughter. The first trip was more of a spa-shopping excursion while this one was mostly family oriented. I took the camera.

Went through the Texas Garden section and watched the miniature trains. They were so neat! Savanna felt like Godzilla!

Went to the bird show. Got a picture of a Texas Hummingbird:

Savanna got to meet Elsie the Cow. Elsie has the only job better than mine: She stands around getting petted all day by admirers (I have to pet myself :()

The State Fair of Texas is HUGE! We spent all day there last Thursday and didn't see half of it. We saw a lot of new things Friday, this being one of them:

Master Spa

I walked into the booth. A young guy in a tank top with tatoos on his arms hollered "How's it going!"

I said "Good! How are you?"

He said "Selling spas. We're with the factory. Everything here is being sold at wholesale."

Me "Wow! Do ya'll have a local dealer?"

Him "Yeah, in Carrollton (Suburb of Dallas)"

Now, I'm wondering how the local dealer feels about the factory undercutting him and I'm really wanting to get to the bottom of this, but one glance at my wife and I can tell I'd better skeedaddle. So, I wished the guy good luck and headed off with the family to watch the pig races.

After all of the Shiner Bock, Texas Nachos, Fried Twinkies, Fried Cheesecake, and Turkey Legs, I was about to pop! I found a spot in the shade to lay down. My wife took my picture. It's not one of my better pictures so, please, be kind:

I did get a tap handle like that when I was at the brewery a few years ago. Annie gave us our own private tour as we arrived late. Great girl, very friendly. I LOVE Shiner Bock! Just wish I could get it in western PA :'(
