Title: Brrrr....
Post by: kokanee001 on December 17, 2008, 01:47:18 am
Have been going out for our nightly dips, but it's been a mite chilly lately. Last few evenings have seen temps of close to -30C (-22F). Moved the tub up to 102F to ward off the chill. Anyone else experiencing really cold temps?

I agree Tman. We were at 4F with a windchill of -15F this morning. I took a 20 minute shower instead.

Not that I am envious of you but where are you located to be at -22?

SE corner of supernatural BC.  It's been between -20C and -30C (-4F and 22F) for about the past 5 nights. Days do warm up by a few degrees. Hasn,t been too much wind, so that makes it nice. Afew inches of fine, dry snow.

FYI - It was 65F degrees here in North Carolina yesterday and we were playing in Short Sleeve shirts.  Of course, since then a cold front came in and it got down to 45F and it's continuing to drop.  I think I'll stay here for a few more decades...

It's funny though when winter starts it is hard to get into the mode of daytime highs not getting much above 0. This winter global warming has hit us early (not sure what that global warming thing is all about) and our temps for Dec are way below normal. But as we progress into winter we seem to get used to the temperatures and start to learn how to live with them. We have had so much snow here in northern Minnesota this year that my blade on my truck has had an exceptional workout and broke several times. I was laying on my back under the front of my truck repairing some wiring yesterday for a couple hour and I didn't get cold except for my hands a bit.............it was 7 degrees huh.
