Title: pump speed when adding chemicals
Post by: abarts on February 14, 2011, 09:38:11 am
Does it matter what speed the pumps are on when adding chems? Can I just run pump 1 on low speed for one cycle? The tub is a 2010 j-365, it has two pumps. Pump one is a two speed and pump two a one speed. It also cycles every 12 hours.

I run the jets/pumps on high for one cycle.  This ensures good mixing.

when adjusting pH and TA I will dilute and add on low speed or even just let the circ pump (assuming your particular spa has one) run its course....aeration causes pH to rise so it makes no sense to run the jets while your attempting to lower pH for example
