Term

This is a common fluid dynamics principle called "venturi effect" and I was surprised they did not use the term at all during the video. They did explain what it but for some reason never used that well-known term..."Compared to the initial flow, this narrowed flow -- with more pressure -- increases draw, it creates more vacuum in its wake, if one is allowed -- such as a port, open or sealed". for anyone who wants more details or even the equation for this...here ya go (I know, I know, overkill right?)

So I don't get why the spa had to be cut up - For $20 or so they could have just showed us a jet fitting. If they wanted to see it in action, many spa manufacturers have video on their web sites showing it working, under water, in a whole spa.
Oh well -
-
they had to for the drama on t.v to produce and cover the time, if they did just the jet it would a been a 5 minute segment instead of 7 minutes....But your right they could have just did the jet ......

It looked like some ol' junky internet spa....no big loss.
-
;D Im sure that was sarcasm as I'm sure every Jacuzzi owner on here would take offense to "junky internet spa"

The name of the show is "deconstructed" so tearing stuff apart to figure out how it works is what the show is all about. Everything they do is to cut up each product. This segment just happened to be a Jacuzzi...

Hey, the Jacuzzi guys should be happy. The network chose their tub to purchase. Who cares what they did with it. Or, maybe Jacuzzi gave it away for the advertisment?
