Title: Beachcomber model 750

I bought a used Beachcomber 750 about a year ago.  I had Beachcomber install it and I have been quite happy with it.  In July the circuit board had to be replaced.  NOw it has gone again and I am told to replace the whOle spa PAC for about $1000.  Is this a inherent problem or what?
