Title: How to replace Ozonator III Tubing?
Post by: Ultrarunner on December 14, 2010, 02:42:12 pm
I need to replace tubing and check-valve for Ozonator III on 2008 Vista.  Any recommendations?

Thanks,

R.

Ask your dealer for part # 72228 (Ozonator Tubing Kit), I believe it comes with the check valve and new tubing with clamps. Be careful when you pull the tubing off of the ozonator nipple or you will break the nipple off. The tubing will then go high up into the cabinet, make 2 loops, and come back down to join into the ozone injector. It is important to make sure you do this with the replacement tubing to help stop any backflow if your valve fails.

Thank you for the prompt reply.  When I disconnect the existing tubing, do I have to worry about water pouring out inside the compartment?  I would rather not drain the hot tub before working on the replacement.

Thanks.

Yes and no.  :D

if you shut power off and the circ pump is not running then you will have some water when you disconnect the tubing from the injector.

I would definitely turn off both breakers to the spa at the sub panel before making any repairs. I would also start at the ozonator and work my way towards the injector so the line at the injector will be off for the least amount of time therefor letting the least amount of water spill into the equipment compartment.
