Just got home a little while ago.  Awesome game!  Wish I could buy stock in Desean Jackson jerseys because they won't be able to keep them on the shelves.

If you get the NFL Network, they usually rebroadcast the games during the week.  May be at an inopportune time, but at least you could record it.

I think I will have a beer or two in the hot tub tonight to celebrate .  8-)

Dallass next Monday night!

Hi guys!!  You KNOW I had to see this thread!!!

Congrats to all of us Pennsylvania teams...looks like Steelers, Philly, Pitt and PSU all won!!!  But the Buccos, well, not been a good year.

[glow]Dallass[/glow]

Hahaha, I was crackin up!!  (though, my son is currently a 3 month Dallas resident, still a Steeler fan!)  Gotta admit, I had to root for them today, since they played the Browns, but if the Browns weren't in our division, I would've rooted them on!

Just because you beat up on a J.V. team...I mean the rams, dosen't mean it's time to talk Tampa.  Next week you'll be 1-1.  You don't really think you can beat the Cowboys  ;)

I was to busy Sunday night watching the Bears manhandle the Colts. I did spend the day watching all the games at once on the Rez Zone channel and DirecTV Game mix. You can view all 8 games at once, switch audio between them with the cursor and click on one to tune in.

The Eagles, Steelers, Atalanta, and the Bills all looked great. Favre beat the Dolphins but they only had one win last year. I am looking forward to seeing him play a better team next week.

There is only one team I despise, which is Oakland. Cutler just scored on them with a nice looking drive.

The Eagles have beaten the 'boys the past two years in Texas Stadium.  And they had done so quite convincingly, I might add.  I'm a firm believer that things come in three's so.....  Eagles 23, Dallass 17.

We will see if Dallas is as good as the Browns made them look.

Dallas has a legitimate shot this year. Romo has a lot of talent and I like him a lot better than Brady. I don't think the Giants will repeat. My team (the Bears) is too unpredictable, they tend to get far and then the wheels come off.

We won't know how the season is going to shape up until at least week 8 and even so, there are always surprise teams like last years Giants. It will be a great year for football but I would put money on the Cowboys right now.

The Pats are finished IMO. They looked pretty good week 1 but it's too much to put on a 2nd string QB.

Dallass was the team to beat last year, too.  ;D

When you say you like Romo better than Brady, that's based on what exactly?  Just personal choice, right?  It can't be based on what the two have accomplished on the football field.

And if I remember correctly, wasn't Brady a 2nd string QB who led the Patriots to the Super Bowl after Bledsoe went down?  Not that I'm a New England fan, but you cannot discount them.  They play in a weak division, so they are going to make the playoffs.  Then, as we've seen last year, anything can happen.

1) Dallas definitely has a legitimate shot and has been the favorite in the NFC all along and after week 1 that didn’t change. I'd be shocked if anyone disagreed with that statement.

2) I definitely prefer Romo over Brady. Both his knees are healthy!!! Before that I think you'd be nuts to take anyone over Brady (even Manning) and that is no knock on Romo because he looks awesome but Brady has been in another stratosphere.

3) I wouldn't write off the Pats just yet. If I had to guess I'd put them at 10-6 or 11-5. I've seen a few teams make and even win the Super Bowl with a QB who is little more than a care taker. That Pats team is still talented. Besides, none of us really know what Cassell will do. He could be a bum, a serviceable QB or a good QB just waiting to get his chance.

Dax,
I think you have selective memory.  When philly came in to Big D and squeeked by the Boys 10 - 6 (not "quite convincingly") the Boys were 12-1 and had wrapped up a first round bye and the division.  The Cowboys were on cruise control from then on.  (Including the playoffs) However when it mattered the Boys put it to philly  38-17.  I think philly might be a touchdown better this year.  Dallas 31-philly 17

All I remember is Romo botching the hold for the winning field goal on fourth down against Seattle in 2006. Poor guy, he tried so hard to get it in the end zone after the mishandle but turned it over on downs. The Seahawks ran out the remaining minut or so and Romo sat on the bench with a towel over his head for half an hour.

Just talked to my hubby...he is finally watching that Eagles game... :)
He said it is even better than seeing it live because there are no commercials  AND...he's in Tuscany, poor guy ;D ;D It's his first time listening to a football game in Italian ;D

NFL Network re-airs the four best games from the weekend on Wed & Thursday. They are condensed down to about an hour with all the non-essential plays deleted. They simply put "three plays later" on the screen to let you know.

This is a great way to see the games you missed or couldn't watch in your area on Sunday.

The Cowboys scored 6 points and Romo had the worst game of his career.  Are you saying they weren't trying to win?  And of course, Bryan Westbrook kneeled down at the 1-yard line rather than score in the closing minute or the score would have been 17-6.  Either way, the game wasn't as close as the score.

Yes, Dallass won at Philly last year.  But that's not the game that mattered.  The one that mattered was against the Giants in January.  How'd that work out for you?  :D

Dax,
With 4 min. left in the game.  All I can say is WOW.  What a game.  Win or lose, I can see this division coming down to the last game of the season... in philly :)

Came down to who made plays in the 4th quarter.  The Cowboys did.  The Eagles didn't.  >:(

Now we have to get ready to play Chrisy's yucky team....  ;)

I know we lost DAx, but I have to say I am so impressed with our EAgles this year!  Our performance in this game agains Dallas was really encouraging! After listening to the worst commentators in the world (including Jaws) who gave the Eagles no credit for anything, it is obvious the Eagles are going to prove them wrong. Lets hope everyone stays healthy and they can afford to get bonehead DeSean an eye exam ;D  ;D

I would love a new spectator game..it's on the field with the commentators and the goal to to see how many you can hit square in the mouth with a football >:(..Next time those idiots are the commentators, I will turn my volume off

I like the way you think, Boni!  ;D

Watch the game on TV, but tune your radio to either FM94.1 WYSP or AM610 WIP and listen to the best broadcastor in the business, Merrill Reese, along with color analyst Mike Quick.

Boni,

I always do this with hockey games and the idiot NBC announcers. Hit the mute button on the TV and turn on the radio.  My wife thinks I'm nuts, mumbles something about my gender and leaves the room ;D

I am still crackin' up, Dax!!! ;D ;D ;D

Sorry you guys had a rough game last Monday, I worked and missed it, but saw the highlights  :o :o :o :-? ::)

Yeah, BABY!!  Bring it on!!  Our boyz r READY!!!  Of course, I work again,... >:(

Gotta admit, Dax and Boni, at least your game was interesting, unlike ours against Cleveland, SNORE!!  Good thing we had Ike to blame for the crappiness of the game, but hey, a win is  a win!

Gotta agree with you all on the commentators, though Gus Johnson is cool to listen to, there is nothing like our ol' Myron COPE!!  Oy! :) (RIP)

The battle of PA goes to....  :)

Entertaining game.  Just hope Westbrook's ankle isn't too bad.  That would really stink if he's out long.  >:(

I missed the first half, not that it mattered, but Big Ben was being sacked more than my grocery cart!! >:(  Boy, noone could protect him like Alan Faneca, but hey, our owners couldn't quite see his worth.  I wonder what they think now... but the Rooney's have their own issues with team ownership as it is.

It would've been a better game if we won. ::) ::) :'(  And, I wonder what would've happened if Leftwich was brought in sooner?

Your Lions are bad but at least they're not the Cheifs. Too bad Detroit doesn't play KC this year so the Lions could be favored in a game.

Matt Millen is a local guy from Whitehall, PA.  So I've followed his career and always wished him the best.  He represented the area well.  That said, how the hell is he still employed by the Lions?  He must have some very discriminating photos of somebody....

WOw, probably figured he better get out with some shred of dignity (?).  Just like when our Ben had a hand injury after being sacked 8 times (I would think the ego would hurt more  :() ... sad to say, I am hoping they rest him on Monday and play Byron.

ICE, hubby ALWAYS roots for Detroit on Thanksgiving!!  Unless, we would be playing...

Well, hoping again...

Even though Millens now gone (happy, happy, joy, joy) the team is still going to stink for a few years due to the ramifications of 7 years of Matt Millen drafting.

Thank God for the Red Wings :)
