Title: On a sad note.....
Post by: Zep on February 19, 2010, 08:35:49 pm
I hope Terminator/East Texas Spas doesn't mind, but the guy is practically
a legend on this website so I think it will be ok. Looks like Term lost his
father yesterday and I know many of us consider him a friend and would
want to know and express our condolences. So Term....our thoughts and prayers are with you.

From Terminator's / East Texas Spas Facebook:

For all of you that knew my father, he passed away last night from a massive stroke.
He didn't suffer, he didn't linger, he went like he always wanted to...

He had a big influence on so many of us when we were kids...coaching us, taking
us to Six Flags, ballgames, and many memorable times at our home.

Dad was always a little bit ahead of the curve when it came to the welfare of others...
he never lied to anyone, he worked hard, he did things the way he wanted, he was
faithful to Mom for 45 years, and he never refused a friend.

No one ever had a better father than my brother and me.

Per his request, there will be no memorial service. He would consider it a waste
of time and effort for anyone to grieve his death. He had a wonderful life!

Thank you to everyone out there that was his friend...he truly enjoyed y'all.

Chris

Thank you, fellas...I appreciate your condolences.

I always called Dad the World's Oldest Boy Scout....he didn't drink, smoke, run around, and he's the only person I ever knew that never lied to me....he always told it like it was: good, bad, or ugly!  I was very fortunate to have contact with him on almost a daily basis, and have no regrets about the past.

He was a hard worker, enemy to none, friend to many, and a shining example to all!

Thanks again, ya'll.

Wow, my condolences go out to you my friend. Much of who we are comes from who brought us into this world and raised us so I imagine your father as a good natured, fun loving family guy who will be missed.

Thanks again ya'll.

I'm sad to report that it looks like our moderator and friend, Mr. McCall, lost his mother in the last day or so.

My condolences to him...

I've been silently observing the site for some time.... but I feel moved to comment here...
I'm so sorry for your loss... I don't know you well - but I understand the pain of loss.  You seem to have grasped the concept of holding on to the memories - and the love shared endures forever.  I hope that this continues to sustain you in the days to come.  Take comfort in the thought that those who have tread this path before you...have endured - and so shall you.  Peace

What a long couple of days. Tommorow is the viewing and Wednesday the burial.  No hot tub to destress in.  Lots of family here, if we were in Columbus the tub would be getting a lot of use.  Hopefully next year I'll talk my sister into getting one when they build there new deck.

Thanks to the two of you and all.  Bridal shower this past weekend and my daughter's wedding coming up next month. I can't wait for life to return to normal.
