Title: cold weather hot tubbing
Post by: thearm on January 31, 2010, 06:30:55 pm
Hey guys,
For any of you considering a hot tub but are afraid of cold weather, don't be. When out to my tub this morning at a cool -2 degrees :o. No wind and is very doable. I use my tub all winter and very rarely do I not get in everyday. Biggest drawback is wind and rain. Have been known to use a umbrella in heavy rain. Over 4 years and still loving it.

Must have been a cold one in the upstate today.  It was a sunny 16 here today, made for a relaxing soak. First sunny day in quite a while.

You definitely leave more water in the tub when you get out.  I do have a speedo that I wear for daylight winter soaks.  At 195lbs, it looks better than it did back at 275.  My backyard is semi-private, I usually put the suit on during daylight hours.  If they are offended seeing me in a speedo that is there issue. :)

Excellent point Rick. The only way to go hot tubbing is without clothes! Day or Night. It pays to live in the country with no neighbors and few visitors. ;D
