Title: older tiger river hot tub controller issue
Post by: tennesseestargazer on November 27, 2009, 10:51:01 pm
I have an early 90s, 3 person, tiger river hot tub. From time to time the controller will trip out. It's not the ground fault tripping. I have to turn the temp control all the way off and then back on to reset the controller. What could be causing it to trip out? I'm going to wire an LED into the circulation pump to see if it's shutting down when the controller trips out. I know the heat does. It is so agravating to go to get in the tub when you have a sore back and find the water is cold!!!!!

Flow switch needs to be replaced if circ pump is working properly

Turning down and up the thermostat is a high limit reset for the Older Tigers. Could be a couple things: Low flow from circ pump - pull out the filter. A bad water check valve - should open and close completely when turning the jets on and off (it's right in front by the jet pump). I don't know if a bad flow switch would trip the high limit but, as suggested, it could be a culprit.
