Post by: cavalier on October 27, 2009, 11:12:43 am
still working well but with 10 years of non stop use...........

Anyhow I am looking for a replacement heater to put on the shelf.

Any source recommendations are appreciated.

BTW
Still running original pumps.

Replaced board and need to trouble shoot the blower some day.

What is wrong with the air blower?

The blower does not turn on.  The top side control shows it is "on" but it is not really on.
The think the motor may have siezed up from lack of use.

It's a 240v blower.  We never use it but it is good to know it's operational anyway, so maybe this weekend I'll get to it.

The air blower turns on daily during the noon filter cycle, so seizing up because of lack of use wouldn't be a cause.  More than likely, it either got some water in there or mice got into it.  It is a pretty easy repair, you just swap out the motor.  2 wires use wire nuts and the ground is screwed to the motor with a 5/16" nut so you can't mess it up.

Blower is now operational.  It was a loose connection.
