Title: Jaccuzzi j-470 questions
Post by: new88 on August 31, 2009, 05:56:37 am
I'm in the market to buy a hot tub and I was wondering about the Jaccuzzi J-470. Is it a good tub? Have ther been problems with it? Is $10,500 (no extras)in the Western MA area a good price?

Thanks,

New88

Welcome to the board New88,

I thought someone else would chime in here for you, but here goes.  I have just purchased a new J470 and will be taking delivery very soon.  To me, the 470 is a great conversation tub, with four awesome corner seats, nice waterfall and lighting effects, great foot jets, etc.  I'm anxious to get it....obviously  ;D

Unfortunately, it's too early to comment on its' reliability but I do have high hopes for it.  My searches included all the brands available to me locally, Sundance, Jacuzzi, Beachcomber, Bullfrog, Arctic, Artesian & Master Spas.  For me it came down to the dealer support, the Jacuzzi dealer I felt, was just a little stronger and completely customer focused.  I know five people in this area with Jacuzzi spas and they're all very happy.

Hopefully a 470 owner will chime in, I know there's a few of them here.....good luck in your search.  Not sure about the pricing, I think it's maybe just a tad high... I'm in Canada so our pricing is a little different.

That's the price I was quoted for a J480 with steps & ozonator two years ago.  I'm located in eastern PA, north of Philly.  There could be a price difference between our two locations, but I would think you can work out a better price than that for the J470.  Good luck!
