Now that snow is falling, I am debating on what to use to get the snow off the cover. I don't want to use a shovel because that would damage the cover.
Would a snow brush for cars be good? Or maybe a soft driveway broom.
I can hear all the people in warm climates chuckling...

I have seen this one asked before - and if I recall correctly, the answers ranged from a drafting table brush, to a soft push-broom, to a swimming pool brush on a 6' pool handle, and so on.
I'm sure that one of the frozen-brained crowd will come along here soon.

Zep beat me to it. I bought the Snow Brum last year (I think Bonibelle recommended it to me) and it works great on both cars and tub covers.

First of all don't listen to either Chas or Zep, Chas is from SoCal and Zep is in Dallas. Neither one of them even knows what snow is ;)
I use a soft bristle push broom to clear the snow off.

I LIVE IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA AND DON'T GET A TON OF SNOW BUT AT TIMES CAN GET 6 TO 8 INCHES. THIS WILL BE MY FIRST WINTER TO HAVE A HOT TUB. I PLAN TO KEEP A CHEAP LIGHT WEIHT PLASTIC TARP ON MINE & REMOVE SNOW ALL AT ONCE BY REMOVING THE TARP.

This is not a good idea. A plastic tarp on top of a vinyl cover will do damage if the sun comes out. All it takes would be a good sunny day or two.
If you want to cover the cover, use fabric or mesh.

Wow this site is great for all the good advice and experience! :)
Well, last night I had to clean 1" (2.5cm) of snow off of the cover so I used a wide broom. It worked well and because it was wide, it didn't take long to clean the cover off. I may just stick with this unless someone can convince me otherwise.
On another note it was really cool being in the tub with snow falling. Now I see what everyone was talking about.

I do that but only when snow or ice is expected. I don't leave it on otherwise.

I live in eastern PA. We get our fair share of snow. Although last year not so much. This year.... time will tell.

I also use a tarp when there is heavy snow expected. I install it before the storm and put it away after. Sometimes deep snowfalls need to be shoveled off, so I feel better shoveling off a tarp than my cover. I use an auto snow brush with an extending handle for light snow on the cover itself.
