Title: Pic's of New Tub
Post by: Steelerpete on August 02, 2008, 02:40:22 pm
Hi all, we got the new tub on Thursday and have been enjoying it twice a day. The Onzen system seems to be a no brainer, you just set the time duration for it to run during the day and it converts the sea salt to sodium bromide. No chemicals other than PH down and shock. The water seems better on the skin, with no irritation at all.

The old tub (GOOD BYE !!!!!)

If anyone needs help with the Onzen let me know.

NICE!!!!!!! Is that the Summit SE. Been trying to look at one up close to see how the seats are angle. Seen the Kodiak but would prefer all seats. Enjoy.

You must love all of those new jets!!

I must say that I really like the dark chocolate shell of your old tub.  I've never seen anything like it!  It reminds me of slipping into the lake late at night with.....oh let's not go there...

Enjoy!!

Why did you get the new one. The old one seems nice.

Steelerpete

I noticed your tub is setting on pavers, I was considering doing the same instead of a low profile deck. Are the pavers 16"x16" from Home Depot or Lowes and do they hold up to the weight of the tub filled with water quiet well without cracking.

Thanks

Hi tense, the pavers are 20x20 and they sit on about 4 inchs of gravel for good drainage. The patio is 20ft x 20ft so this was the best for the price, and they seem to do a great job with the weight of the tubs and no cracking at all. The old tub was a great tub don't get me wrong, but if you were to sit in the old one then in the Summit there is no comparison. The Summit has contoured seats, they are designed so you can sit back more and are wayyyy more comfortable plus the jet count is unreal. The Arctic dealer took the other tub in as a trade in and gave me a great deal on the new one so I couldn't pass it up. When we bought the first tub we were a little price shy because we did know if we would use all the time and after a year with it we realized that we are definitely hot tub people so that was another reason we upgraded. Thanks,

Pete :) :)

P.S. Tense we also were looking at the Kodiak but the seats aren't as comfortably and the lounger takes up to much of the tub!! :)

VERY NICE, STEELERPETE!!  I would love to sit in a Summit, but too bad you are across the border!!   ;)

On that note, like Benalexe said, what did you do with your old Coyote Spa??  looked nice, and how was that therapy seat in it??  (I am sure it doesn't compare with the Arctics, though!!)

Nice set up, and cute kids!!

Chrisi of Steeler country!! ;)

Hi fellow Steelers fan and Benalexe, the Arctic dealer took the Coyote as a trade in and they will clean it up and sell it as a used tub. The therapy in the Coyote wasn't bad, but the Summit is light years ahead in comfort and therapy!!! Thanks,

Pete

P.S. How do you think the Steelers will do this year? I say 10-6!!!! :) :) :)

Trust, me as a Pats fan.  16-0 is not all its cracked up to be.  Either is 18-1...
