Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time telling the difference between colors on those color stick thingys. Has anyone ever used a PH/Ch2 meter and if so, what would you recommend.

I'm not sure what meter you are looking at. I've been using the Aquachek Trutest for about year with good results. http://www.aquachek.com/trutest/ The readings are similar to my Taylor kit.

I was actually looking at something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140248609347&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=140245157902&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m183&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%26itu%3DUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4. I know it's for swimming pools, but I think it would give me the readings I am looking for.

Its not just you. I've had good luck with the one Mr. Bubbles mentions.
