I just pulled my invoice for my 2008 J-470. In May I paid $10, 975. My price included everything above plus 4 Pro-Lights, Jacuzzi Robe, N2 cartridge, and ozone. I paid $850 in sales tax. So final total was $11,825.
You will love the tub, it is great. The waterfall jets really work the lower back. My favorite seat is the front left seat. It has 6 FX jets that turn your back and shoulders into butter. I purchased the tub in sand and harvest wheat cabinet. The color combination requires no clean-up. It does not show any hard water or dust.
GrassHopper you have chosen wisely...
Enjoy,
Scott ;)

Confused...I took it as he asked if anyone had got that deal not that he got it for that amount. But I may be the minority reading into it too much. :P

I don't see any confusion. He is asking what is a good price and if he got it for that price would it be a good deal. Maybe I'm confused.

Here in southwestern PA, we were quoted a price of $10,500 for an '08 J470 loaded--prolites, lites, stereo, ozone, cover, lifter, delivery,... before tax, of course. If you didn't buy it already--snag it up now. Before that deal, we were quoted 11k by that same dealer. Either way, good price. ;)
CHrisi :)
PS Happy Fourth of July to all!! :)

Hi again! To clear up the confusion, I was quoted that price(pre- tax). I am still deciding between the Jacuzzi 470 and the Sundance Optima. The Optima is close to 1,000.00 less (2007 model). I really wanted to wrap this up two weeks ago but can't decide.

I think it's a good deal considering the stereo added.

You are right where I was in April this year. For me the price was the same but in the end I was drawn to the dealer and the raised waterfalls on the J-470. Good luck with your decision....

The local guy used to blow them out for around $6000 with stereo, but he's out of business now... ;) ;) ;)

Purchased the J-470 tonight! Now the waiting begins. Went with platinum shell and roasted chestnut cabinet. I have to say Scott pushed me off the wall of indecision by his statements which is how I felt. Can't wait to start tubbing.

I really love my J-470 and I use it once or twice a day still after owning it for 6 weeks. You would have not gone wrong with either one of your final choices. The Optima had the dual floor jets for each corner seat and at first I missed that on the J-470. Now I find it is no big deal.
I stretch across the jets in the middle dome and get plenty of action on my feet and calfs. I start in the back right seat and loosen up. I then move counter clockwise to the waterfall and my lower back gets the attention. Next the left rear works my neck and sides. After that it is the main event as I slip into the left front seat and get the six FX jets. It is really hard to leave this seat as I lay down and let the FX jets work my shoulders while the volcano works my legs over and the calf jets from the rear right seat work my feet over. I finish the soak with the front right seat and then cool down with the single jet seat on the right side of the tub. After that I get out and go to bed and Bam I'm asleep.
When you get the tub, wire it for 60 amp service and use 6 gauge wires. It is really nice to be able to run everything.
Good luck, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. You have chosen wisely Grasshopper. Congrats on your decision...

congrats on the decision, the Jacuzzi is one of the one's we were considering and with that color combination. I'm sure you're a little relieved now that you've made a decision. :)

Thank-You for all your guidance and wisdom tub master! All kidding aside I really do appreciate the pointers I received during my search to hot tub nirvana. Now the anticipation begins while waiting for delivery. My sales rep advised me about the 60 amp but did not tell me to use 6 gauge wiring, good thing to know before I complete wiring.
If you have any further tips, I would appreciate them as I am a first timer.

Wheew, you don't know the half of it:) Now I have to figure out how to use it when it's delivered!

It is a walk in the park. Set both diverter valves at the halfway point. Turn on all the air valves, volcano valve, and waterfall valve. After that set temp to 101 or whatever you like. After that you push the two pump buttons when you jump in. When I want a beating I swing the diverter valves to the corner I'm sitting in. 95% of the time I don't touch the diverters because I have bruised muscles before. I know I'm an old wimp. I'm telling you this tub is the best thing since sliced bread. Enjoy.......
