Title: question about start up

How come the few times I have drained my spa my thrid pump, the one that controls the 2 lounge seats get air locked.  It is a real pain in the neck because it means I have to unscrew and take off the panels in my tub which is a real pain. Then open the union and let the air our.

Any reason this always happens?

On a side not, are all spa a pain in the neck to take off the pannels?

The pump is higher then the suction or they have too much pipe between the suction and the pump and there is a high spot.  If that pump has a diverter valve on it there is an easier way to relieve the air, simply loosen the the top of the diverter valve and that should clear it.
