What!? I didn't say anything was wrong with it, did I?

I'm just a little cranky right now because I don't currently happen to have a spa.

Chas--don't feel bad, I know a lot more about spas except for  owning one!! :D ::)\

When I had my ranting a while back-it was mentioned I really needed a spa to chill out!! ;D ;D ;D  I am still learning to read through some of the messages and to take it for face value.

It's all good, right all?? ;)

Questions are good and I've asked my share of questions in the past ... still do.

OK ...

Which is the best ozonator? Why?

Why do people buy expensive chemicals when the generics MAY be just as good?

Why haven't they come up with a better filtering system vs cartriges?

Why don't manufacturers hold their dealers to certain standards after the sale to support the customer?

Can any control equipment be used to replaced exsisting electronics if they go bad?

Will anybody answer these questions?

What happens if they don't?

Are these too many questions?

Should I add more?

ANd you have surely answered your share of questions too, Vinny.

I think Benny is just thrilled with is tub and wants to talk Hot Tubs...isn't that what this forum is all about?  Most of us asked all these questions before we purchased a tub, so he is approaching things differently and is probably asking for the benefit of folks looking to buy.

It's kind of like a club..once you are an owner, you hang out on here to talk about your tub, help others and share experiences. Since Benny is now part of the owner's club, he wants to talk about all the questions that he didn't need to ask before. ;)

We sold it. It was a Grandee from 1997. We had owned it close to three years and it was great. We sold a similar spa to an neighbor close to ten years ago. Their son came in a asked if we happened to have another one just like it - and we did. The one in our backyard. He came over and checked it out, and the deal was done.

Delivered it a few days ago by crane, and the electrician hooked it up the next day. Hot and bubbling as far as I know, though the new cover didn't come in on time so we have a loaner out there for now.

And here I sit - tubless.

Since you have lost so much weight the raw power of Dynasty's 7HP pumps would probably blow you out of the water.  ;)

How am I doing?

I am only guessing on this but my thought is that the spa business is very cut throat, if a manufacture has a dealer that is selling 50-60 spas a year they are willing to let a few customer complaints slide. Not they do not want the issue resolved but they do not want to push to far and lose the 50 spa sales.

Typically the dealers that do not take care of their customer change manufactures yearly if not more. Then it is easy for the to tell the customer that is not their problem call the manufacturer.

We usually get a new spa every year. The Grandee I had most recently actually served us for close to three years. We just got real comfortable with it. I had a new one just like it about ten or twelve years ago and it was my favorite.

But we always offer it for sale when folks want a good deal on a used tub, and the right offer just came up.

Actually the new Limelight tubs have tons of power. More than HS models. I'm not one for pounding jets, but I am looking forward to wet testing one of these beauties real soon... maybe for an extended time.
