I've focused on 5 Hot Tubs and would be looking for recommendations.
Hot Springs Vista (Local Dealer)
Jacuzzi 480 (Local Dealer)
D1 Spas Sarena Bay (Dealer 100 - 150 miles away)
Arctic Spas Tundra SE (Dealer 100 - 150 miles away)
Coast Spas Mirage (Dealer 100 - 150 miles away)
We'll be wet tsting Hot Springs and Jacuzzi this weekend. Though interested in the other 3, the remoteness of the dealers could be a concern for related service work. Any yeas or nays on the models, or dealer situation would be appreciated. We're in a northern climate, if that makes any difference.
Also, we're not great "hands on" people, and would look to minimize maintenance (Read Motto: K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Stupid)

Welcome to the forum! :)
There is no way that I would buy a hot tub from someone over 60 miles away. Putting aside the promises that will be made by the dealer, you will almost certainly end up getting shortchanged on the service end in spite of their best intentions.
Good luck in your search.

I'm not a great hands on person myself, so I'd be inclined to go local, and at least you have two great choices. Despite living in a 1million person metro area, I have almost the same situation, HS and Sundance here are two great dealers, the HS also carries Cal. There is a new dealer I haven't checked out yet..
Sometimes going with the local dealer can still backfire. I bought my first tub from a dealer who had been around for more than 20 years, but I really didn't know his history. They had changed brands a couple of times and went under a year after I bought my tub.

The fact that you're a self admitted non-DIYer and the fact that those are two excellent local brands, I think you'd have to be REALLY turned off by those two dealers to go 100+ miles away for another brand (though D1 and Arctic are good choices as well).
You'll find proponents of both Hot Spring and Jacuzzi because they both have a following due to the fact that they are premium brands. Listen to what everyone tells you here (and in any PMs you may get secretly telling you what you should buy ;)) but just take it in, set it aside and let the wet test be your guide.

I must have gotten up on the right side of the bed this morning because I agree with Term on this one. ;D ;D
BTW. The Coast Mirage is one big tub and will blow you out of the water. They are by far the most powerful tub I wet tested. IMHO maybe too much power.
Good Luck,
Scott ;)

Everyone on this forum will eventually enter the fold, some of them just choose to take the roundabout way of getting there. I'll be here to welcome them all when their time comes. ;)

Dear terminator the Benevolent and Kind or is it Humble and tender or is it the Monkey Man
I have been counting and I have now noted over 17 distinct personalities. This now beats Sybil so I am offering you a major book deal to write the story of your multiple personalities. This could make us both rich and we can open up our own spa dealerships somewhere in the Bahamas. What do you think? ;D ;D ;D
PS Go with the local dealer

Alas, but a humble, hard...ly workin' spa peddler am I, Governor...too many mouths to feed and no future of which to speeketh outside of sellin' boxes of water...mighty fine boxes of water tho' they be.
Writing a book sounds like work, a word to which I have had serious aversion lo' these many years. If you are willing to provide stenographic support, I could probably be easily coaxed into mustering voluminous amounts of verbal rhetoric which could traverse all known subjects (both real and imagined) vital to the promotion and proliferation of the aformentioned cubical vessels into which so many of us place our hopes, fears, dreams, and occasionally blood, sweat, and beer.
Terminator, waxing damn near poetically...

OK 18 personalities. I guess I have to add another chapter. This is starting to seem like a lot of work. Oh well there goes my retirement plan and Pulitzer prize for my work of non fiction. :(
PS I must have won some sort of award for this post. I am now a junior member :)

I did not realize your sig line was a hidden key. I typed the phrase into google and I found your thesauras. Is there more keys hidden here. It will take me ages to go through this website as many words have more than 2 syllables. I have attached the website or as you know just type your sig line into google.

Hot Springs Vista (Local Dealer)
Jacuzzi 480 (Local Dealer)
These are two great choices. Just read a couple of my posts about the trouble I'm having with my dealer 60 miles away. Try those two wet and make a decision and enjoy your tub.
In His Peace,
Fred

Term--I thought you sig line was you playing with your kids??!! (Ihave called mine fidgets)
TB--good tubs, I personally like Arctic, lucky 4 me dealer is local. We looked at Artesian, and 100-150 miles away, and dealer was difficult anyway.
Wet test and go for what is best and may the best dealer win....oh boy... ;)
