Title: Getting your hot tub delivered
Post by: cj99999 on May 22, 2008, 10:11:24 am
Getting your tub delivered...it strikes me that many companies, when they sell you the hot tub, whack in huge delivery costs as well..you would save money if you just bought the hot tub and arranged for delivery yourself
found these www.spasolve.co.uk they deliver anywhere around the UK,seemingly good value, and I reckon would save you about two or three hundred quid!!!

I paid $170 yesterday for a crane to lift the tub over my house and into the backyard. It was worth every cent of it.

whatsaquid?

My dealer delivered, and set up the hot tub for free...er...included in the total price. I would guess, delivery is about a 2-300 dollar value for a standard delivery (2 hrs labor for 2 guys, gas and a van).

Now I know the dollar is down against the british pound, but these prices are insane:

Up to 250 miles £595   (or $1,1786.00 USD)
250-350 miles   £695 (or $1,376.00 USD)
Over 350 miles  £795 (or $1,476.00 USD)

(found it strange that the money was in english pds, but the distance was in american miles...)

I'm trying to get my tub off my 6 ft deck and a crane is $380 minimum.  We've had a lot of rain in central MD lately and to get one to reach the back of the house from the street is double that.  Will try to get my son and his friends to scoot it down boards to the ground.
