My tub was delivered & wired up today! ;D
Wrong cover and cover lifter came, though. By the end of the day, the right cover was here, and the lifter is coming tomorrow, along with a rep to give us an orientation. Have to buy some shock tomorrow (none came with the starter chemicals). Tub is heating, and I should be soaking tomorrow evening!!!!! Yahoo!!!!!!!
I'll take pics once I get fully set-up. :D

I am so jealous. I want to be where you are. It is like Christmas Eve and tomorrow you get to open your presents.
Congratulations,
Scott ;)

I know the feeling Scott! Every time I'd read that someone got their tub, for the last 6 months or so, it killed me!!! Now I have to jump in to the soaking lifestyle. My wife bought us some nice acrylic wine glasses. We'll see what else we'll want once we start soaking regularly. I'm psyched!
Thanks for the congrats!

You need to get a rubber ducky before you can soak. It is a rule or something, I think....

Congrats, IP and Mrs P!!! I, too, am jealous!! But half the fun is looking. Except that the more you see, the more you want!!
Can't wait for the pix!! Have a cigar and a margarita on me!! [smiley=beer.gif]

Congrats Mike, your search was a great headstart for my current search. Really wish that I had a Marquis dealer closer than 2.5 hours away after hearing all the praise. Working on the wet test phase now myself and deciding whether to just put a basic slab down or get the deluxe mega size stamped concrete party patio poured.

Congrats on getting the spa, I am sure you will enjoy it!!

I know you are thrilled Parrot! You will love your Epic even more when you get to know it... It may take you a while to get the hang of the tri-zone, because it offers so many different combinations.
The deep therapy seat is phenominal and the pillar in front of that seat is also impressive! I think I have removed a few moles with that thing ;D..seriously you can get a very powerful, concentrated massage with the pillar. It's great for your legs and your back..and with the air full open, it will push you across the tub ;) We love it.
Hopefully you have already had your first soak and will report in. ;)

congrats Parrothead ,
I am slightly jealous that you are going to start some serious relaxation, have a great time in your new tub.
just dont forget to put a little Buffet in the background

Mike,
Halleluhah it is here. You have done as much homework on this subject as anyone I have read and you will love to be part of the soaker club as I am. Since my purchase I have been outdoors almost every night and I can tell you that each night will instill in your mind that you done good! So enjoy and be well!
Scott :D

Congradulations IP,
I believe that my wife and I started to look about the same time as you. We got our Sundance Cameo two weeks ago and we couldn't be happier!!
I learned a great deal from this site and can't thank the participants enough.
Good luck...........Sean

240+ posts.... IT'S ABOUT TIME!! ;D
Congrats my friend!! That is a spa that would be high on my list for overall therapy. Love the pillar of jets!
Enjoy it.

Congratulations Parrothead,
Now put on some island music grab a margarita and enjoy :)
-
Happy for you and the Mrs. May your spa bring you much happiness. :D
Have fun with it.

Thank you everyone! :)
The dealer came by Thursday morning, with the last of the chemicals and test strips. He installed the cover lift and gave my wife the basic orientation. We soaked Thursday night and twice today! I love it!!!!! 8-)
Steve, I felt the exact same way. The more I read and the more I posted, the more frustrated and eager I was getting.
I also want to thank everyone for the great info! It made the whole process much easier.
I took some night shots with the lights the other night. I am hoping to get some daytime shots tomorrow, and will attempt to post pics tomorrow night.
Thanks again everyone! I'm thrilled to now be part of the "soaker set"! :)

Welcome to Spatopia!!
May you soak long and prosper.

Congratulations Parrothead on your new Epic!!!!! I had to post this note to thank you soooo much for all your inquiries over the last few months. We have been shopping for hot tubs at the same time and ironically looking at the same ones. We fortunately found this site which (based on your posts and many other's) answered almost all our questions. I also thank everyone who listens and responds to questions/problems on this site!!!! I am very envious you are in "Spatopia" - but I am happy to report I am just a few weeks behind you as I also purchased a 2008 Marquis Epic which should be here in about 2-3 weeks. Our colored, stamped, concrete patio/pad has just been poured and it is beautiful!!!!! I am so excited. We recently moved to North Carolina and had to leave our hot tub behind (in upstate NY). Now, after a year of severe hot tub withdrawal, we can't wait to get back soaking!!!!! Thanks again to this forum! It really helped in making the job much easier (it was more confusing than buying a car!!!!!!!)

I haven't been on for a while...and missed the end of your search, but I am so happy for you. You seemed to be leaning this way from the start, and I'm sure you made the right decision! I think there is supposed to be a great meteor shower tonight, so soak long, and prosper! I can't wait to see pictures!

Very nice IP! Like the patio you got it sitting on too; did you have that put in place for the tub?
Dave

Nice pictures. I hope to have some like it in the near future. Congrats IP....
Scott ;)
-
Wow, you lucky dawgs!! ;D ;)
-
Beautiful...Now tell me what you think of that deep therapy seat ;)
-
Tailhook, yes -- I had that patio put in just for the tub. In the background, in the one picture, you can see my deck. I wraps around the side of the house & is 2 levels. It turned out that it was going to be too big of a hassle to reinforce that to carry the spa. And then we'd have lost a good chunk of useable space there for barbecues, etc. So, I'm really happy with this location!
Boni -- that seat rocks! And the hamstring jets in the Adirondack chair work the glutes great if you scoot down -- which is where I get sore from the broken hip, and from golf.
I'm loving it! Whoever hasn't pulled the trigger yet.......get shooting! :)
-
That is indeed a beautiful set-up. I'm afraid my pics will pale in comparison.
A neighbor has an Epic and have nothing but positive things to say.
Worth the wait, isn't it?
Congrats to you!
-
I can't belive you finally did it and did it so well!!! :D 8-)
Now you know what I was talking about!!
-
Very nice!
The background in the first picture looks like you may live on a golf course. When can we come over for a round and a soak? :)
-
Gorgeous pics!! Enjoy it!!

Now you know what I was talking about!!
Yes I do!
Thanks everyone! And Dax, no golf course -- it's a park. But there's a golf course a block away. You're welcome anytime!
-
Great Pictures!! It really looks beautiful! Congrats! I guess you are soaking with your "real" wife now ;) Enjoy!
-
Thanks Ivie!
-
Everything looks great, Mike! Thanks for taking the time to share. I wish my arborvitae trees where that mature.
Enjoy it to the fullest,
Chad

Thanks Chad,
I had 5 new ones planted that are only about 4 feet tall along our fence too, so they'll take a while. But they're really nice for a little privacy, for a wind block, and for even screening out traffic noise.

Beautiful pictures IP!!!
Very nice job!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
