The dream has come to fruition, my friends. I'm the happy owner of a Sundance Hamilton. :D I lost my virginity this past Sunday morning. It was quite enjoyable.
I didn't want to say anything until I actually sat in it. With my luck something certainly would have happened.
I will need to enlist the help of my teenage kids in order to post pics.
Thanks to all of you for your tolerance, input, advice etc.
In a couple years I might even be able to give some advice on the chemistry.

Congratulations Skellman,
It happened to me two weeks ago!! What colors did you get? What are you going to use to sanitize?

Brothersean,
It's a coppersand shell with Mahogany panels.
It's not what I would have chosen but, it is growing on me.
It was a floor model thus, I had little choice.
It has the stereo which I didn't want either. But, that too is becoming more enjoyable as I listen to some classic rock while soaking.
I still can't get my wife to go in. I truly believe she's afraid that she'll love it and I can say "I told ya so".
Maybe if I promise her I won't get frisky?

Tell her it will get rid of cellulite...,of course if she doesn't have any, you are back to ground zero OR she could bust you one for suggesting that she does ;D ;D
Seriously, My husband and I love having our morning coffee in the tub, listening to the birds (especially now that it's spring). I bet if you buy her a nice robe, make her a great cup of coffee and arrange to spend a quiet morning together, she will see the light ;)
Good luck and enjoy!

Boni,
She would definitely take it the wrong way if I mentioned anything about cellulite. She is very sensitive and tends to distort things I say into something negative.
I asked her again when she got home from waitressing last night and she said no. You would think that a part-time waitress would be eager to get in a tub.
So, I just soaked by myself and listened to the beloved Cub vs. Colorado on the radio.

Sorry Skellman, I only said that because my friend and I have been comparing dieting notes and I told her that logically, hot water and strong massage..along with drinking lots of water should help get rid of cellulite. This friend who would NEVER come in my tub, said if I proved that, she would gladly try it. I thought it was funny, she is so afraid of what could be in the water, but if she had a good motivation, she would try it. She had a beautiful jacuzzi jetted bathtub that she made her husband rip out because she was afraid of bacteria lurking in the jets, so using a hot tub with other people isn't something she would ever do....unless it performed miracles ;)

Boni,
You certainly do not need to apologize. I'll get her in the tub sooner or later.
-
I know when she sees how much you enjoy it..and how good you feel, and how well you sleep from a nice evening soak, she will come around. Could she be a bit angry that you bought the tub in the first place?
-
Well,
Considering the fact I've been waiting/searching for almost 5 years, I don't think that's the problem.
I've had several bonuses, money I've earned from coaching hoops etc. that I had always earmarked for a at least a down payment on a tub. But, it always ended up going to bills which of course is the smart thing to do.
I suppose I could beg her to get in!
Or, I'll invite all the neighbor women. That would go over real well now wouldn't it.

News at 11 Skellman found dead face down with a basketball hoop around his neck in his new spa. Police ask wife and she says he was seen with suspicious looking women earlier on. More details to follow........
:o ;D :o ;D :o ;D

I truley hope that the Loss of virginity comment had nothing to do with the price of the purchase or the type tub! ;) ;D
Congrats!
Whenever I want my wife to get in the spa I start talking early in the day about how much it relaxs me and helps me sleep. Then I open the spa and the window shade of the house where she can see the spa, turn on the colored lights and set a glass of wine on the edge. She usually gets the point and then thanks me later for talking her into it!

Hi Skellman,
Hmmm, I hope that your wife comes around! Our Cameo was my idea initially but my wife just loves it.
We are both about 50 and very active with work, working out, sports and working around the house. We love the therapy or just the way the spa makes you feel after a long soak in the morning with a cup of coffee or at night with a glass of wine!
Also, during my research I read an article about how soaking in a spa can have positive effects on your cardiovascular system (because of vaso-dilation and increased heartrate) that an activity like running can provide without the wear and tear on your joints!
Anyway...........have fun.........Sean
