Title: Happy 5th birthday!
Post by: wmccall on March 25, 2008, 08:11:38 am
My hot tub is 5 years old today.  How did I ever live without it?

But the day also marks the end of the warranty :'(

For now, its a if its not broke don't fix it scenario.  I would put up to a few hundred in it to fix it if a problem occurs.

Looks like it could use a little more water though.  ::)

Congrats on 5 years of spatopia!  Out of curiosity, looking back, is there anything you wish you would have done differently?

Nice Tub!!  We were wondering what opinions about Dynasty were out there, as a few times we asked it seemed very little was known about them, or some people thought they sucked.  We liked the Caspian 55, and are also thinking the Titan 5000.  C55 has more of a leg therapy seat I want.

Glad to hear all has gone well!!

My co-worker has a Dynasty Paramount deluxe with a flat screen and he uses it every day. The model is discontinued but he swears by his Dynasty. The neck jets are his favorite. So Happy Birthday....

It seems to me that most people on this site are in their 40's and 50's. Is the Spa experience an older sport. I see in the POD's that they are all young good looking models. I'm hoping that when I buy my spa that all the cute women in the neighborhood will want to come and jump in the spa, ( just kiddin dear, I really didn't mean it) WOW that was close......

I think that's the spas birth pic from the initial delivery/setup. We need a 5th birthday pic.

Hey maybe Termie will instead!!  (refer to his picture in Salesperson issues!!)

BTW I am a youthful 42 and hubby is 43 (still cute for a geezer!! :-*)  Not a spa owner--yet.  When my mom was alive, God rest her soul, she had a Viking 2.  IT stayed with the house when it was sold.  Those memories of sitting in the hot spa 102 degrees and snow falling around, wine cooler and cigar and all--couldn't get any better nights' sleep!!

The dynasty our dealer will be getting in on tax day.  Same dealer has Arctics.  We'll probably check out both.

I'm 29, Chad's a bit younger than me I think.  I have a couple of friends in the area around the age of 30 with tubs, but that's it.  They're definitely a hit with people our age though, I had a party about a month ago where I had to rotate groups of 8 in and out of the tub.  I have another coming up this weekend, though the large groups are fun honestly it might be nice to have a few less people this time, lol.  Needless to say I'm really looking forward to a warm day when I can do a water change!

As IT literate as I am, and an having been online longer than most (20+ years) I should have looked around online. I didn't discover this forum until after I bought.

Another thing, I spent just under $7k on a spa, and let it come with a $75 cover lifter. The covermate II I got from Doc a couple of years ago was a much better lifter.

The neck jets are spectacular. If you ever get one of those tension headaches that seems to center at the base of the skull just above the back of the neck, these jets are the ultimate cure.

Bill, so what did you get your spa for it's B-day?

Yeah I'm 25. The spa was a present to myself for my 24th Birthday. After only 6 years in the tile/stone setting trade, I needed something for my back and neck. Now, 17 months later, I'm amazed at how much better I feel.

Congrats!   Mine just turned 4 years old this month.

Was talking to my dealer last week,  and he told me that right before my 5 year warranty comes up,  they're going to replace my 2 pumps with new ones,  just because I've been such a good customer.

Saaweeet!!

Swell--

Yep, hubby and I found out about Coleman's when we did our day-long checkin' things out trip.  That dealer also sold Caldera, and was a phenom salesman.  (knowledgable and not pushy)  Sad to say--neither spa has  quite what we were looking for.  Maybe they are in the Vegas Area.  And, Good luck with your Sundance wet test.  They didn't fit my hubby.  But ain't no 2 snowflakes alike!!

Speakin of snow, nice pic of tub in the snow wmmcall!!  How many inches! (oops, a girl should never ask a guy that, my bad!!)

At the time of the picture about 12, ended up with 20", the south side of the house, where the tub is  had drifts to about 4 feet.

Well, I have been selling spas with ozone systems on them for close to twenty years now - well before they came from the factory. All that excess ozone has to be doing some good, right?

Bill you won't believe this, because I know how you and your wife love to cruise, but my neighbors went on a cruise over Easter break and had a terrible time :-/. They took the whole family, kids, spouses, grand kids and claim they had an awlful time. :( I just can't get that..We had an amazing time on our last cruise even though we had to dodge 2 hurricanes... :o

Oh well, I know you are looking forward to your vacation..wish I was so lucky to be going again  ;)

I have always loved the Mustang - except for the bloated ones from the mid to late seventies. Those looked more like Pintos with attitude - bad attitude.

Otherwise, I have loved them all. My folks bought a Mustang in 1964 - it was a '65 but listed as a 64 1/2 - it would be a very collectible car today!
