Title: Bugs
Post by: Kawwboy on March 26, 2008, 08:03:31 pm
I am not so sure that I saw it on here....but someplace I read about someone spraying something cheap, common, and safe around hottubs and decks that kept the mosquitos, ants, etc. away....
For the life of me I can't find it......

You guys have some hot topics going now >:(

Thanks.........

Never argue with a fool...because someone standing along side might not be able to tell the difference

I'll keep my eyes open for bug sprays.  I know Avon makes Skin so Soft, but that is a body spray.  I have heard ants don't like cinnamon, and borax mixed with powdered sugar is poisonous to them, but who wants that all around their tub??

Gee, Swell Tub--I don't know what is worse--scorpions or skeeters--but I guess you don't hear about scorps carrying Malaria, West Nile Virus, SARS or bird flu ;)  lol.
And, dude, you've really graduated from the Newbie, huh!! :D

Yes, West Nile has been around here for a couple years now.
My neighbor a mile south was hospitalized a couple years ago.
He bounced right back, but one guy I know still can't hold cards in his one hand. It really affects some people more than others.
I live in the country, in central ND. Praire pothole region, so in another month they will be buzzing. Wish I could remember what it was they used...seventies were tougher on me than I thought I guess ;)

Good luck with your tub search.........

You and I are on post overload tonight. I have a massage therapist over to the house and he is working on my wife and family. So I can't go to bed because dear old dad has to pay the bill. Each massage takes an hour and we have 4 scheduled for the evening.

Maybe when I finally get a Spa I can save the cost of the therapist. He is really good and we call him over for special occasions about once a month. Tonight it is 2 of my daughters birthdays.

I hear ya, dude!!  I am hearing the gentle snoring of mu ever-so-cute hubby laying in bed, and I will join him soon.  (it is 1239 am here in West Newton, PA.)  I worked a 12 hour shift and don't go in until 7p Thurs.  That's why i am still up.

Are your daughters twins or just have same Bday!!

I have twins (will be 9)  plus a boy about to turn drinkin' age and one about to turn legal.

Cool dad, BTW to have a massage therapist over!!

A spa will take care of that in the future :o ;D

Hey, I am not crazy ;D
I found the place with the supposed cure for mosquitos...

It says to use listerine. It goes on to say, spray it around chairs and decks. Doors and windows, not directly on the wood, not sure if it will stain.
Says it costs less than the spray that only lasts hours. This is suppose to last days.

Worth a try.....
