Title: Newbie #3- The Decision!
Post by: thatbpguy on January 06, 2008, 08:00:30 pm
First, let me thank all of you for your comments and suggestions. One thing I've learned is how to drive a bargain. We were able to get the Caldera Oasis I for $3,000 (to include delivery, set up, cover, stairs, chemicals...).

Here's my baby:

I didn't even think about that spa when you were mentioning what you were looking for.  I think you made a better choice than going with the RX.  Even though the Oasis is a very plain Jane spa, it is very comfortable.  It is made by the same folks as Hot Spring and made in the same factory as the RX.  Very good quality spa for a good price.

Nicely done.

AKA the Hot Spt Tobago.  Discontinued for '08, but parts will be available.  Very simple reliable hot tub.

When a hot tub model gets discontinued all that is really discontinued is the shell. All the jets, controls, filters, etc are used on other models so its certainly a non issue for the consumer.
