Post by: Rayman on September 01, 2005, 03:43:08 pm

Two days ago things were still being assesed.  I'm sure the help will be accepted, but better to do so on a responsible/coordinated basis.

Also, from what I hear from people I know who lived in Slidell for many years, the roads into and out of are not yet open.

I liked the movie better than my kids, though they do occasionally quote lines from it...

So did I hear correct...The State of LA wouldn't allow the Red Cross trucks in with food and water to the Superdome because they didn't want it to get even more crowded by the rush of people looking for supplies? >:(

Something is really fishy down there.... >:(

I heard the same on the morning drive radio show I listen to on the way to work.  Said exactly that.
The local gov. didn't want to attract anymore people to the dome, so they didn't allow the relief trucks from the red cross.

I think the local government down there if everything is on a level playing field is going to be embarrassed with much to answer for...It was a mistake to try and attack , shift blame to the white house, when so many obvious things were done/not done by them.
