Title: Above freezing
Post by: wmccall on December 21, 2007, 07:50:19 am
Here in the midwest we have had a couple afternoon in the 40s.  Thats a good time to check your water level and even if its only slightly low,  you never know when the next sub freezing spell will come.  Top off!

I's been pretty balmy here in the MPLS area, too.  Makes for some mighty fine soaking temperatures.  I still don't turn on the outside water even when it's above freezing in the winter, it's too much of a hassle for me to re drain everything.

Frost proof sillcock.  Get one. The only way to go.  ;)

I totally wish I'd have thought to do that when I built this house 9 years ago.  I bet the upgrade charge for that would have been a song.

Second chance would have been to do this prior to me finishing the basement and was running the power out to the spa.  The sillcock is right next to the spa.

Now I'd have to tear into an interior wall to access that faucet.

Excellent suggestion, though.
