I have white stuff floating in the water. I don't know what it is but I'm asuming its coming from inside the pipes of the tub. Does anyone know what I should do?
Change the water? Thanks.

It sounds like white water mold. :(
See http://www.rhtubs.com/decontamination.htm for solution. :'(

Galen,
The only thing Doc's information skipped was to make sure you dechlorinate the water before draining you tub. Sodium thiosulfate is the most widely used after super chlorination of a watermain before flushing. You really don't want to send 50ppm of chlorine out over your lawn or down the street to the sewer.

What kind of white stuff? Slimey? Stringy? Suddsy?

Well I say its white, its kind of light in color, off white, like a flake. Slimy. It mostly floats along the side. I take a pool net and skim it off. Its not real bad, but enough that I skim it off. I've super chlorinated it twice. I read that article you posted and that was enough for me. I've started the decontamination process. Thank you!

If its organic, you must decontaminate. If its hard and scaley, it may be mineral. Slimy sounds organic to me.

OK I identified the white flake. Its a build up of calcium inside the pipes. Every time I would turn on the pumps I get a new dose of flakes. I took a collection of flakes in a glass of water. Added clorox to it and waited one hour. The flakes were still there. I took another collection of flakes without water and added Mauriac acid to a plastic spoon. In one hour the flakes were gone. I need to lower my Ph for awhile, to rid the buildup.

Its not organic. Good job on the diagnosis.
