Title: Fall
Post by: wmccall on September 12, 2007, 07:08:48 am
Last night we turned off the AC, opened the window, set the hot tub back to 102.   It was good.

We had our first front of the season come thru yesterday. Dropped it to mid 60's with mid 60's dewpoint. Still a few more weeks until real fallish weather gets to Texas. Soaked for 15 minutes this morning. Beats the heck outta obsessing over a couple of bucks on the price of a spa.

We already have lows below zero starting tonight! :(

I don't think my palm tree in the front yard is going to make it... ;)

Burrrrrr Steve.  Are we talking 0c or 0f ?  We're now getting down into the mid 30's (f) which has made for a bit nicer spatopia.  Sure beats the days of mid July when we were getting all the way down to the low 80's at night and warming up to a balmy 105 or so during the days.  I was beginning to think I was no longer in Idaho but rather a little closer to hell.

What would you expect?

They can't even get the dimensions right on their football field. Who ever heard of a 55 yard line anyway?! When I first saw a CFL game I thought they'd hired Otis Campbell from Mayberry to stripe the field!!

The burning question:
Does a Dollar Store here in the US have better quality merchandise than a Dollar Store in Canada ?     :D

Things Canadians are proud of...

-The average dog sled team can kill and devour a full grown human in under 3 minutes.
-We still know what to do with all the parts of a buffalo.
-The Canadian Civil War was a bar fight that lasted a little over an hour.
-Mr. Dress-up kicked Mr. Rogers ass.
-Much Music kicks MTV's ass.
-Maple syrup kicks Mrs. Butterworths ass (...don't know about Aunt Jemima though).
-Tim Horton's kicks Dunkin Donuts ass.
-We invented ski-doos, jet-skis, velcro, zippers, the long distance and short wave radios that save countless lives each year. Oh yeah...and the handles on beer cases big enough to fit your hands with mitts on.
-We've ALL have frozen our tongues to something metal and lived to tell about it.

Need I say more? :D

Hey, let's not make fun of Canadian money just yet. The dollar hit a new low today, and is projected to get worse. If the Canadian dollar passes the American one, we'll never hear the end of it.

All I can say is there is at least 15 million mentally challenged people in Canada.  Dunkin Doughnuts is nothing, but TH is way over rated.  and over priced.  Maybe the domestic product is better?

Winds are kicking up at night here in central Florida, tempertures dropping slightly and humidity is thinning out in the wind. It is good to hear that temps are dropping up north because those high pressure systems push south and steer away hurricanes.  It looks good so far that we will be storm free this season....two seasons in a row.......fingers are crossed.  However the water table is low, as it relies on some tropical type storms to replenish itself..........Tom
