I'm SO excited....we are supposed to get our new tub today! We ordered it June 29th, and it's taken a little longer than they said it would. I thought I would practice posting a pic, so here's the spot where the J-365 is going. The tiki torches you see in the picture are solar. They work great...they actually "flicker" like a torch at night. Hopefully my next post will be of the new tub....

Wow!! Looks like a wonderful, private spot for your tub!! Be sure and send more pics.
Good luck!

Very nice! Will look even nicer once your new Jacuzzi is there! ;D

Nice setup...my tub is coming tomorrow ;D However, I'm building the deck a piece at a time..it's HOT out there. :o
Are those Bose speakers I see up there? Which model are they?
Where did you get the tikis/how much were they? Are the posts metal or bamboo? I like the solar tiki idea, though it doesn't do much for mosquitoes. We may need to get a fan and/or spray the beejeesus out of them.

Those are actually KLH speakers (model #C-170W). They sound great. We got a really good deal at Sears on them. The tiki torches were 2 for $15 (after rebate). We got them at Menards. The poles are actually a hard plastic, although you can't really tell without touching them. My husband is not sure how long they will last, but I'll enjoy them while they do! :P
They just delivered and filled the Jacuzzi, and the pictures are downloading as we speak! I'll have them posted in a few minutes....The electrician even showed up while the tub was filling, so we should be in SPATOPIA tonight!! :D

Here are the pics! They brought the bromine pack instead of chlorine for chemicals. I was all ready to use dichlor, so I'm a little disappointed. When he called the store to bring the dichlor, they said Jacuzzi will void the shell warranty if you use too much dichlor, and it spots the shell (over 2 TBSP). Is that true? Maybe Jacuzzi Jim will chime in. ...

First off, Congrats on your new Jacuzzi! :D Everything looks wonderful. 8-) I really like the Chestnut cabinet, I wish it was available last year. :'(
Second, Disregard what your dealer said about dichlor. He must make more money selling bromine. ;D
Cheers,

Thats looks a real nice set up and tub - are you gonna plant some creeping type plants at the Pergola type part??

Thanks! I'm currently asking around about the "creeping type plants". I don't want any debris dropping into the hot tub. Right now I'm thinking about planting honeysuckle to grow up and over the pergola. I also don't want anything that will block our view of the night sky. Just something to add a little bit of "pizzaz" to the pergola. I'm open to any ideas! We live in Central Nebraska if that helps (as far as growing conditions go).

Mmmmmm
I know an avid gardener who suggested Wisteria - it is a very quick (and able) climber AND more importantly flowers only for a few days - keeps the bees and wasps away!!
Nowt to pollinate. ;D
Best of luck!

Nice set up. I know you must be so excited. Wait til you feel the foot jets--AAHHHH!! A friend of mine says she planted jazmine because when it steams up in the winter time it smells fabulous and there are no droppings. I don't know about the bug factor.
Enjoy your soak tonight! "Fellow Jacuzzi J-365 owner"

Everything looks great. You have great taste - I also have a Jacuzzi and the same firepit. ;)
Our of curiosity why didn't you orient you spa so the electrical would be closer to the outside power?
-
Looks great.
Question to Jacuzzi owners and dealers:
Did they solve the air lock problem? When we sold Jacuzzis we had to fill them through the filter pipes to prime the pumps.
I see the hose in the tub above.

For the most part, still happens once in awhile on the J-315 but not often.

What is an air lock problem?

Good news. Do they still recommend the same fill procedures as in the old days?
-
I thought the standard way to fill the tub was to stick the hose into or near the circ pump opening. My tub has a grate over the circ pump opening so I place it close enough near it.

They initially filled it through the filter pipe, and then once the tub was so full, he moved the hose out in the open. I asked him about it, and that's the reason he gave me....to prime the pumps.

Did you get your firepit at Target?!? (my favorite store!)
The tub is 91" X 84"....If we would have turned it 1/4 of a turn, I don't think the gate would clear it. If I would have turned it one more turn, then my control would have been on the back side, and harder to see/get to. I wanted the waterfall back there so it was more protected, and I wanted the controls easy to see & get to. So I decided to go with the longer power cord.

NICE wall and slanted roof. Looks like a great private little nook. Good job. I just found out my D1 Nautulis is being delivered on Tuesday, FINALLY. I can't wait. :o I bet your soaking right now.
thanks for the pictures.

I've refilled 4 times with [glow]no[/glow] air lock in my '06 J-345.

Thanks for asking about our first soak! We let the water temp get too hot, so needless to say, we weren't in the tub very long. :( The water temp got up to 106. It's hot here in Nebraska....I should have checked to see what the tech set it on before he left....he put it on 104. We turned it down, but it only dropped a couple degrees overnight. Not sure if it will drop much more with the 100 degree temps we're supposed to have this week and weekend. On a positive note though, we all fit really well in the tub, and got the jets adjusted how we will like them. And I did get to put my sore feet on the foot jets! I never wish for fall weather, but I have to say I'm looking forward to the cool nights again. :) --renee

Every time I refill my J345 I have to loosen the diverter handle for pump 2 prior to turning power back on or it air locks. Now I just remove it and fill through it for about 1/2 hour.
The first tech I talked to had me take off the side panel and loosen the collar on the pump to "burp" it. That was a PITA, second time I called about it the next tech told me about releasing the air through the diverter, much easier.
During the winter, one of the diverter handles broke. The diverters turn very freely, the handle design looks weak though. I never replaced it, would just use the remaing diverter handle but it broke last night. Gotta call the dealer, hopefully it is a stock item. Tub is around three years old, will probably have to buy them but they should be inexpensive.
Small problems for the amount of use and enjoyment I get out of the tub.

Whenever I've had an air lock, I've relieved it by loosening the diverter and letting the air out. When I drain and fill now, I initially start the pumps without the filters in and have never had an air lock since I've started doing this.

Congrats on the new 365....I just bought one....please let me know how things are going....Nice set up .....

That set up is wonderful! Great private space.
A quick suggestion on vine cover for the arbor/fence. If you do use Wisteria, use American Wisteria not the Chinese Wisteria. The American is native to this country and NOT invasive like the Chinese Wisteria.
Enjoy the spa... :)

RNBLAZE,
Your photos looked so good that it gave me a great idea for the display we set up at our local home show. I take some photos and post them tonight. Thanks for the ideas.

Nice set up...inviting. The espresso cabinet looks sharp. ANd I LOVE the tiki torches! I've never seen ones that were solar. Where did you purchase? I'd love to pick up a couple. What color is the bulb in them? Asking because I purchased small copper solar lamps for our walkway but ended up not using them because the light was blueish and very dim. I'm still trying to find some that have white or a golden light.

Tonight was our first soak with the tiki torches going. It was SO cool and relaxing. All the stars were out, the temp was perfect. The tiki torches actually "flicker" like a real tiki torch. Not sure if they will make it through a Nebraska winter, as they are so tall and made of a hard plastic. We got them at Menards...not sure if you have that store in your area. I will post some night pics soon....

We ended up turning the tub (as SpaNE suggested). We measured, and it actually fits better this way. For some reason, the guys that delivered it said it wouldn't work this way. Anyway, we had to drain it, but it was well worth it. I really like the way it sits now. We're getting better use of our awning. The tiki torches made it through a horrible storm last night. Maybe they'll be more durable than I thought! We are really enjoying the tub (especially after the kids go to bed!) I find myself watching the clock at work, just waiting til I get to go home to sit in the tub and relax. I'm looking forward to Fall and the cool weather...won't be long. :)

p.s. One thing I think is really odd is that there are only 3 cup holders....seems like there should be 4. Guess I didn't notice that in the store! But I love the way they are lit up at night!

Looks wonderful!!!! Congradulations and Many Many Happy Years of Soaking!!!! :D

Everything looks wonderful, thanks for sharing again. There can never be too many pics on this site. :)
Atleast you have cupholders. There aren't any on the 2006 300 series. I missed 'em by one year. :'(
