Title: Cost of built-in stereo worth the $$$$  ?????

Is the high price of the built in stereo worth it.  I would think that for much less, reasonable external system could be installed.  However, I am a newbie and really don't know.  I would appreciate and help with this.  I am only days away from making the big leap.
