Hello all,
Well after looking for a tub for the last 2 years, I have finally bought one. ;D I bought a 2nd hand 2003 Dimension One Chairman 2 for $1500.00. I have run my 220 line from my fusebox to where the electrician will be installing a 125 amp sub panel near the tub.
I did find a problem however; one of the rotating jets has ball bearings dropping out of it, and while I was moving one of the pillow jets, I broke the hose leading to it.
Does anyone know the best way to swap the jet out?
Thanks in advance for your feedback
John

Congrats on your decision but it sounds like you didn't buy so much a hot tub as you did a "project". I haven't seen many Dim1 reps on here but this crew should be able to help get you moving in the right direction. Good luck with it.

well actually, ndabunka the tub was up and running till I showed up to buy it. It is 99% functional. I broke the pillow hose because it had stiffened up after 4 years, and the jet was stepped on by one of the fellas who helped me move it.
I thought I got a great price on it.

That seems like a really good deal. Do you have any pics that you could post?

Time - I also think you got a good price. I was just trying to "kid" you about un-intentionally creating more work for yourself. Seems we all do things like that.

No worries,
I had a good feeling about this tub as soon as I saw it. The 1st owner had it outside but somewhat sheltered. I had actually wet-tested the 2005 model when it came out, but never bought it. If someone could tell me how to insert a pic I'll post a few for you.
And thanks for the feedback folks,
Time

Enjoy it, even if you have to do a bit of work to make it whole again. $1500 sounds like a deal for a 2yr old tub that lead a sheltered life.

Both parts should be able to be purchased from a local D1 dealer. Jets might also be bought on-line, there are a few places that sell parts online. try spapartsnet. They may be able to get both parts. If you have more than 1 pillow jet, I would replace the hose to all of them if it's cheap enough.
When I looked at D1, I thought that was a weak link in it's design ... hopefully it is an easy fix.

Sounds like you got a killer deal. Post some pics when you figure out how to dot. D1 makes a great spa.

Ok, I'm gonna try and post a pic of the tub, with my son showing hie approval of my purchase.
