Title: 2004 HS Envoy for $1k, good price?
Post by: DannoSpeaks on August 26, 2018, 04:29:40 pm
Hi All - Long time lurker here. I'm finely ready to jump in to the hot tub world now that I've convinced my wife that our lives would be so much better :) Anyway, I'm on somewhat of a limited budget. I've found a local homeowner that is selling their 2004 Hot Springs Envoy for $1000. I feel like this is a good price, assuming everything is working well. Any last minute advice before I just do it?

Its a good brand but its a fairly old spa at this point but its all about condition. It could be worth anything from $1500 to "you'd have to pay me to take it off your hands".

Make sure you see it filled and up to temperature and then be sure you turn on the pumps and you also should ask to peak in the equipment compartment to be sure its dry in there.

It could be a gem or a money pit! If you like it offer $600 and see if they'll negotiate, it can't hut to ask!

Thanks for the advice! I did offer $600, he said someone is coming to look at it but he'll get back to me if it doesn't sell. If it were closer I might have just went over to look at it and offered something closer to his price. However it would be almost an hour with traffic, which I don't have time for this week. I'll update the post if I find out what it sells for.

Make sure you see it running and hot.
