What's the Best Hot Tub

Get an huge Aquarium Heater, some can get it up to 90. Will take a while to heat.

Or just boil some water.
You could use an electric heater with a spa controller. A Balboa VS501 pack kit comes with everything you need.

Thanks. I should have been more clear. I was tired and ready for bed last night when I posted.

Was hoping to find some way to heat the water only. No pumps, etc. Just a heater. Maybe there is no such way without a pump...??

I'm fine with stirring the water, like I do with my Snorkel wood fired hot tub with underwater wood stove. I just don't want to deal with making and maintain a fire anymore.

Was thinking that with the tub being so small, I could fill it with water from my tankless heater in the nearby bathroom....then soak in it, put the lid on, and have warm water the following day that wouldn't take much to heat back up to a good soaking temp. I could do this several evenings then dump the water into my landscape and start over.

Other than heating with wood, what are the options for heating a small one person tub of approx 50-75 gallons?

If it looks clean and clear, Smells clean and tests in range... go for it. Perhaps give it a good shock and clean up the filters before use.

We haven't used our tub in nearly a year - the water is over a year "old". We've used it perhaps 10 times since it was last changed. It's at our vacation home, where we have someone come by and check the chemicals every 2-3-4 weeks.

We'll be heading back up there in a couple of weeks - if it's still checking out test wise (not sure what tests!) as ok, should we stick with the water or change it out?

Ironically, I just logged back in here after a few years about this same topic.   Fighting with the buttons and the display window is burnt so you can barely see the screen during the day.   So far, only thing I found was someone on ebay offering to repair it for a lot of cash, which if that's the case, I plan to try myself.  I have done a few tv remotes with similar issues with mixed success.

Another option I was investigate was remote control.   I thought I remembered the tub had a stereo option, and if you got that option, it came with a remote control.  I wonder how much to "retrofit" the tub to use the remote would be, both in labor and cost.

In this article from your website you promote people to use Chlorine tablets in their spas that contains Trichlor.

The correct answer is NEVER!

Using Trichlor tabs in a hot tub is likely in the top 5 worst things you can do to a hot tub.

This is bad advice and in a lot of cases will void a customers warranty. (see below)

"However, pool owners use trichlor tablets. These are not recommended for use in a spa because it is very acidic. It also dissolves more slowly, which can cause damage to the acrylic shell of your spa. This type of chlorine for pools can also discolor your spa, leaving a permanent ring on the water line."

Example: "Using trichlor in a Master Spas hot tub will void your Warranty":

Based on this lack of knowledge or indifference along with the shady way you promoted yourself here I suggest consumers find a different source for their chemicals
