Hot Tub Forum / Cedar hot tub
« Last post by Revid on July 23, 2024, 09:07:21 am »
I have a cedar hot tub and bought a Aquachek meter to read levels. Iam using bromine cause I read it was better for the cedar wood. The meter has CL, PH and ALK on the screen for readings. What are my bromine levels supposed to be and under what space should it be CL or ALK? The paper said it supposed to read bromine and booklet says to multiply free chlorine by 2.2

Bromine is 40% chlorine in most instances and often skin irritations are moreso due to pH than the sanitizer. Could also be a heat rash? When it comes to skin issues, I always recommend a doctor over us spa pros!   ;)

Hot Tub Forum / Re: EZ Pads vs Concrete slab

Your foundation is extremely important, so concrete is best since it's more resilient and stable. But if you properly do crushed stone and sand (just like what you would do for a slab) then put EZ Pads or pavers you should be good as well. You want to avoid unlevel settling.

Many old cheaper tubs have/had open bottoms and use wood frames so you definitely want a properly made slab for that.

That price tag is indeed surprising! Regarding EZ Pads, they can be a viable alternative, especially in harsh weather conditions like those in New England. However, durability concerns are valid, including cracking, freezing, and sinking. It's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully.

I found great value using a website https://govisit.click/hot-tub to compare local quotes for hot tub installations. It saved me time and money, providing me with multiple options to choose from effortlessly.

Hot tubs can be a mixed bag, depending on maintenance and usage. As for pet peeves, one biggie for technicians is dealing with neglected maintenance issues that could've been avoided with regular care.

I found great technicians through a website that helped me compare local quotes for hot tub services. It made the whole process a breeze and saved me a ton of time and money.

Those are some solid options you're considering! It's smart to weigh the pros and cons carefully, especially when it comes to features like steel frames and insulation. The dealer should be able to clarify any warranty questions you have.

the Volt fx4 is a great product.  obviously more spendy than a piece of hose, but if this problem will recur then you'll be glad you bought it.  it is rechargeable and powerful enough for a hot tubber's needs.

i like your shopping style.  with that big of a gap the existing dealer was either using higher than normal margins, or the new dealer is trying to make a splash and  keep the cash flowing in these crucial early stages.  either way you benefit.  regarding warranty all these big manufacturers do compensate for parts, and a little labor.  don't be surprised if your dealer needs to charge a separate fee.  companies that don't probably struggle to retain quality technicians.
