Title: Water change
Post by: wmccall on April 05, 2008, 11:11:34 am
Dumped and refilled this morning.  The tub is starting out at 47 degrees. Hope to be soaking by midnight tonight. I think it is at 54 now.

Plan on doing the same this weekend, seems like the weather has finally turned for the better.  Temps are supposed to be in the high 50's all weekend

I think I discovered a way to heat the tub up faster.  Last March (07) I changed the water and it started out around the same temp. It wasn't above 100 till after midnight.   Today its warm out and I figured the equpment area is getting warm with pump 1 running to drive the heat, so I turned on the air to the jets and ran both pumps for the 20 minute cycle several times. I'm up to 74 already. Should be soaking at the normal 10pm tonight.

Dumped mine about  a month ago and just put the hose in a few minutes ago. On my way to the spa store for chems. WIfe thinks its too damn cold to use it in the dead of winter. I sort of neglected the maintenence and just let it run on its own. I was surprised the water looked as good as it did after the neglect, just sort of had a bronzy tint to it but still clear if that makes sense. Anyway, I drained it, soaking the filters and getting ready to fire it back up at alst.
