I have been quoted $7700 for Sundance Marin. Sounds a little high to me. This is a new dealer in the Balto area. Does this sound a little pricey to anyone else

It depends. What comes with this price? The tub and what else?
-
I have seen it higher and lower. However, that is about the going rate in PA, NJ, and NY.

I got my Marin for 6,000 and that inculdes the steps, cover, cover lift, and cd\stereo with delivery and setup. 7700.00 sounds alittle high. I'm in southern calif.

It irks me how buying an item like this varies so much across markets and dealers. I like to know the price is the price on an item -- I hate the used car salesman feel that I get when I look at spas.
I have found the same exact spa (in a different state) selling for $2K less than I can get it here in Boston. >:(

If you were a dealer and you could sell a product that normally goes for 6k for 8k all day long, why would you sell it for 6k? In a lot of places, the market sets the price. If people weren't willing to pay the prices, then the dealer would be forced to lower them.

It comes with tub, cover, coverlifter and steps. Thats it.

Stevel361,
Does the price include sales tax? And don't you get start up chems and multi colored light covers? That seems to be the standard package here in Massachusetts.
-
multi colored light is an extra.

Great answer. I set my prices based off several things including, market, operating costs... so it will change from area to area. Just the way it is.
My house in Georgia cost my $110K the same square footage and style in NY or Ca would cost me over 500K. That may be a poor example the some of the same rules apply.
Like Strike stated if the dealer can get $7,700 he would be a fool to sell it for $6,000
