This is the floor model, which has some minor cosmetic damage.....includes cover, lift and steps. Delivery and installation an extra $400. Good? Bad? Walk away??

According to the quotes I got, that's not much of a deal. Had a quote before any negotiating for an R6 for $7400. That was NEW, included circ and ozone, cover, chems DELIVERY AND TAX. Did not include lifter and steps (@$200-300 depending on what they use).
My dealer had a 2014 - R7 floor model they quoted $7100 for... That was R7, ozone, cover, chems, delivery and tax. And I didn't see any noticeable damage or wear and tear.
So I wouldn't say run, but sounds like your dealer has left himself some comfortable wiggle room there. In my opinion, you should be able to get a brand new R6L for what he's quoting the floor model.

Thank you......the was my gut feel, but needed some validation....

I wouldn't say that you are getting ripped off at that price. It's actually pretty reasonable. You can probably do better, but you aren't doing terrible.
