Title: Difference between south seas 850l and tropic seas 851l (Maui)
Post by: Cardinals on February 05, 2019, 06:41:03 pm
Hey guys

First time hot tub buyer here. We were wondering what the difference between the south seas 850l and tropic seas 851l (Maui) is? I know they are both brands of Artesian and they look pretty comparable but was wondering if I’m missing something obvious

I am getting an offer for the 850l at $6695 without cover lifter vs the 851L maui at $8700 with the lifter from different dealers
Any thoughts on the two and which one you guys would recommend (or neither)?

Thanks for the help

There is good- South Seas. better- Artesian, and best-Artesian Elite. The two you asked about are 3 year warranty, Elite is 5 year. The waterfall is an option on the Artesian's otherwise you are stuck looking at that blue filter. If you pull the access cover's and compare the two, you can see the more you spend, the nice spa your getting.

Hey Cardinal. Looking at a South Seas 850L now. Did you end up going with it? And that sounds like a good price. About a thousand less than I was quoted but my package came with cover, stairs and start up chems.
