I have an older Cal Spa and recently a 3/8” hose supplying one of the pumps cracked at a t-joint barb fitting. I cut the tube cleanly and placed it back on the fitting securing it with a band clamp. 2 days later the PVC tubing is cracked again. This tubing does not appear to be original as it is white/clear while the other tubes are brown Cleartek by Tektube piping (unable to find this exact type anymore). Will any PVC tubing of the same inner diameter work for a hot tub or should I be considering something that can withstand the heat of the water? Maybe flexibility should be considered too?
