Title: Love my new Bullfrog R7
Post by: goodiegirl on August 12, 2014, 12:16:31 am
After much research, agonizing and negotiation (thank you forum members), we purchased the Bullfrog R7. We researched Maxx, Sundance, HotSprings, Caldera and Jacuzzi. We thought we wanted a lounger, but after wet testing several, we realized the lounger wasn't a good fit for us.
It came down to Sundance and Bullfrog. With Bullfrog, we really liked that we could choose the jet packs that were right for our needs, and we did test all of them! Pricing/negotiating was the worst part of the experience as there is very little pricing information available and many of the dealers are exclusive.

Took delivery on Saturday and I'm in love.  :-*

Congrats,

I hope you will continue to hang around and tell us how it goes.  Where do you call home. I don't have any BF dealers near me, at least the last time I checked.

Will continue to post.  The forum was extremely helpful in our search.  I'm in South Florida. Sorry you don't have access to Bullfrog.

Woohooo!  Congrats  :)

You got a great hot tub there.  I love the R7 and sell more of it than anything else.  The seating arrangement is the best.  I love having 2 cool-down benches.  What is your favorite jetpak?

i'm going to be buying one in the next few weeks.  how much negotiation can you do?  i tried to do some with the HotSpring dealer and he didn't budge at all.  did your dealer have a lot of give in his pricing or was it extra options?  trying to figure out the best tactics.

Negotiated on price. We didn't care about the bells and whistles. They will typically throw in stairs, lifter, chemicals etc. Which model are you looking at and what price are they quoting?

I really like the Bullfrog myself. I am also a service company for them. I will bring up one thing about them that most in here should agree on.
The dead water and space behind the jet packs will cause a disgusting situation with slime, dirt, etc if you do not remove them at least every other time you drain and refill water...if not every single time.

I thought I read somewhere that Bullfrog had taken care of this problem? Something about putting some kind of wash spray or something at the back of the jet packs? Not true? Is this still a problem then?

The dealer said they'd corrected this problem.

They absolutely did correct this problem.  It is no longer an issue.
