Okay, I am in count down to receive my tub. In anticipation I have been looking at lots of websites, articles, etc.. I see many pictures with lots of accessories; towel bars, planters, caddy's and so on. Is there an accessory you cannot live without or when all is said and done is the tub the only thing that matters :)

There is a lot of "stuff" they will try and sell you. Just like a pool. ;). For the most part, a good lifter, and a good set of stable stairs are all you need to get going (as well as the basic chems).
As for all the goodies, I would wait just a bit and use the hot tub and see what works for you. If you run out and buy a lot of the toys and accesories, you might find yourself spending quite a bit of money on overpriced things that you just don't need, use, or want.
Depending on your set up things to keep in mind as you use the spa, are places for towels, and robes, lighting, tourches, music, gazebo's, side bars, firepits, etc etc etc.
Enjoy your new spa, and customize it, and landscape it as you go along. No rush.
Me? I wouldn't think of not having my tiki torches.
I enter the tub via and end room in my house that I re-did that had towel racks, robe hooks, cabinets for the chems and supplies. hampers for clothes and a nice matt to wipe my feet on. Perhaps a small mini fridge in there to keep the beer close to hand might be needed. ;D
Oh....the other thing that is a must for me, is a small compact snow shovel (Usually these are put in car trunks for emergencies). In the winter, I keep it by the back door and use it to shovel out to my tub. ;D
We want pics of your new tub!

I really like the plastic garden boxes they sell at Target, etc. They are great for storing all the stuff you need around your spa.
I also enjoy having a small pool skimmer and quick vac near the spa for quick cleanups.

A pool/spa thermometer to double check your temps is handy thing to have in your bag o' goodies. :)

Must haves:
Cover lifter
Hold off on your enthusiasm and spa-fever. Give yourself a couple of weeks and see.

If it is a deep pool, you need steps. You need a coverlifter. That's it. Everything else is crap.

Waaaaaaaay out of my price range. They'd blow the budget and I'd probably have to pick up an accesorie for the wife.

Don't worry about it. At least it was on topic. We usually only get after the serious abusers. The ones that throw their company in every post, relevant or not.
Welcome. I'll bet a few astronomers might like these for observing.
We encourage, but don't require that industry people put their affilliation in their profile or signature so it shows up on the left of messages they post. It lets people know where you are coming from, but isn't blatent advertising.
Again, welcome.
