Title: Super Bowl
Post by: Chris_H on February 01, 2005, 03:43:48 pm
Just thought I would talk some trash.  The Eagles will be parading down Broad Street one week from today.

And for those who don’t know the Eagles fight song here it is.  I expect it to be memorized by tomorrow.  There will be a test.   :)

Fly Eagles Fly,
On The Road To Victory.

Fight Eagles Fight,
Score A Touchdown 1-2-3.

Hit 'Em Low.
Hit 'Em High.
And We'll Watch Our Eagles Fly.

Fly Eagles Fly,
On The Road To Victory.

E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!!!

Please don't delete.  We need to have some fun...

I can handle seeing the Eagles parade down  Broad Street as long as I never have to see the FLYERS do it!   :o

That parade - are you confusing it with the annual Mummer's Parade? Or, are they all going hand in hand this year?

Iggles i-g-g-l-e-s

That said, I think it would be ok to see them win (and then get over their bad selves)

So my Washington Redskins can return to glory that much easier!

Chris...
for someone who knows so much about spas....you know so little about football.... ;)....I will think it is going to very tough for Philly to get by New England.....of course New England does not really blow teams away...so they have a chance....but they are just so sound in big games it is tough to bet against them and I think T. O. ...is becoming a distraction....see todays press conference and note Freddy Mitchel....

A quote from Donovan McNabb taken from a Philadelphia reporter, “Can you believe that reporters are asking me if I think we can win??”

The reporter then said that Donovan was not happy and is acting like he has a major chip on his shoulder.

I think the country is going to be surprised on Sunday.

Go Eagles!!!

Please no one take my Eagles rants personally.  I am not trying to offend you and the inferior teams you root for.

At least make an attempt to mention a hot tub once in awhile.  If I let this go, our favorite limey will be on my case!  Oh, my new cover insert is supposed to be installed today so the tub will be fully operational for our superbowl party.

Go Browns,  Winners of Supbowl XC (90) if I remember my Roman Numerals

Are you kidding me, season ticket holder for 21 years. ;D Stuck in Atlanta for the NFC Championship game because of airport in Philly closed due to snow storm.
Sitting in the lobby of the Hyatt, downtown Atlanta with my Eagles hat on, with over 1000 Falcons fans.
Didn't make any friends that day. Fly, EAGLES...fly.

Hottubber ;)

This is supposed to be a site for spa discussion, but this is a good subject.

I'm hoping for an Eagle victory though its tough to root against NE as I respect their operation sooo much. The way I look at it, Brady has never lost a game so he's due (I love reverse logic ::))!

I have a brother who does Sports Memorabilia....and has met many of the players and keeping things polite....has said the McNabb that you see in the front of the camera has very little in common with the one who you see when it is not around....

You are seriously underestimated Philly's defense and Donovan McNabb (who has become a top notch QB). I certainly think NE deserves to be favored and I see the biggest difference being NE has a better running game. Philly will win this game 1/3 of the time in my opinion and those who think this should be a slam dunk are fooling themselves.

I am going to Vegas this weekend...and in talking with a casino host...the odds makers in town do not give the Eagles a real chance of winning...

Sounds like a great opportunity to make some money...

I know that if I still lived in Philly I would have an evacuation plan in place in the off chance that the Iggles didn't win .... it will make that 29th day of April 1992 in LA look like a schoolyard tiff.

They didn't think Carolina could hang with NE last year and it was a 3 pt game thanks to a FG is the last minute. In fact NE's other SB win over St Louis 3 yrs ago was also a 3 pt win on a FG at the gun. I think the line being about 7 as it is makes sense so I'm not really thinking one side or the other is a great bet but I'd take the pts if I had to.

;DJust signed on to look for more information and research on my search for a hot tub.  Had to take a moment to post my choice of the Eagles.  I am originally a transplant from Pittsburgh (Steelers fan), to Jacksonville Fl. (2nd a Jaguar fan) and Thirdly an Eagles fan.  I will not be soaking in my tub down in here in Florida because I haven't found the right one yet.  How about adding your favorite hot tub choices with your football choices.  Thanks and Go Eagles!!! ;D

Being a life long Eagles fan,  I have seen it all from this team.  They can come out on fire or they can come out and totally stink up the joint.   I hope it is the former.

If you give Andy Reid two weeks to design an offensive plan and Jimmy Johnson 2 weeks to design a defensive plan I can gaurantee they will at least be competitive.  Granted New England has the exact same amount of time to plan as we do and their coaches have proved themselves time and time again.

I just want to see a competitive, fun game to watch and have a 45 - 0 Eagles victory.....Fly Eagles Fly....

And which is better.....full foam or TP.....?????

The Patriots have a much better team than last year and very well may have a better team yet next year.  Anything is possible on any given day in the NFL, but my money is on the PATS.

This thread is not off topic. The Eagles have a Sundance Spa in their locker room at the Nova Care Complex. As do the NY Jets at Giants Stadium.
This thread, it's all about the hottubs. I know that after the Eagles win the SB, they can enjoy their spa back home... ;)

No doubt TO has been using it.  As for me, I may not know who I am am cheering for until the game starts. Its hard to cheer for a QB from "that state up north", but they do have one of the better linebackers who should have won last year's MVP award.

I used to hate TO, but this year, he has actually seemed to behave and be a team player.  What to do, 'cept maybe eat, drink, soak, and watch.

They had a Hotspring Spa at training camp.  I believe it is the Phillies that have the Sundance spa in their locker room not the Eagles.  Unless of course you sold that spa…

I probably will not be on here the rest of the weekend so I thought I would give this thread a bump for the time being, and wish all of you a safe Super Bowl weekend.

Please drink a lot to celebrate the Eagles victory because you want to go to work hung-over on Monday.  Remember alcohol and spas do not mix.

By the way for those true Philly fans out there, El Wingador has brought back the wing bowl crown to Philadelphia.  Could this be foreshadowing for Sunday?

Is that an offer to pay my 1099 on the trip? Thanks!

Of course, being in biz isn't cheap these days, and tends to be a bit of hard work, so one could say the trip was 'earned' rather than free......

I must say, prior to this year, I have hated Terrel Owens, I just don't think those kinds of antics belong in professional sports. You know the ones, the kind that Randy Moss did this year.

I didn't feel that TO wanting to play in the Superbowl was selfish, I thought it was anything but selfish.  He sure did look good. May not 100% but still worthy to be on the field.

Overall the commercials were dull. Especially seeing the Mustang convertable one fo the 3rd time in 5 minutes.

On Terrell Owens...

I'd take an 81% healthy T.O. over ALL of the other wide receivers together that the Eagles have. Let's give a BIG farewell to the big mouth, Freddy Mitchell too. It's time for him to move on... ;D
