Title: Price advice for used Jacuzzi J-385
Post by: reggie ho on September 08, 2019, 12:36:01 am
Hi all,

New to the forum and hoping some of you might be open to offering advice on what a reasonable offer is for a three-year-old Jacuzzi J-385 in what appears to be excellent condition. The seller is asking $6500, and a local dealer told me a new one would run $12,500 plus tax. I still think $6500 is a little too high but want to go back to the seller with a respectful counteroffer. Any advice?

Thank you,
Reggie

If the spa sat outside esp. in a climate with snow for 3 years plan for $500-$600 to replace the cover soon, and also keep in mind warranty doesn't transfer, maybe shoot him a 5k offer and see what he says

Thank you and $5K was what I was thinking too.

Agreed and if he said he wanted more (he'll counter) I'd probably tell him I'm comfortable/firm at that price and he's welcome to call me back if he changes his mind while I continue to look.

50% as soon as it leaves the showroom. 10% per year there after. So he's a little high.
