Title: Swim Spa choices - Hydropool, ATV, Jacuzzi ?
Post by: cedar1 on March 06, 2021, 08:38:49 am
I've been going back and forth between swim spa vs in-ground pool for quite a while and finally decided to go with swim spa for our use. It's difficult to shop during this COVID time, with no demo display, no wet test, long lead time, so I have to rely on the previous experience from you guys here on this forum. Here are the three models I have narrowed down:

1. Hydropool Executive trainer 16' : 42k taxed (7%), delivered with crane, roll cover. 10 months lead time
2. Maquis' ATV-17 Kona swim spa 17' : 30k taxed, delivered. Crane fee on us. 8 months lead time
3. Jacuzzi J-16 Power pro 16' : floor model. 33k taxed , delivered. $400 on crane credit. available immediately

From what I've been reading, what I should look for is a wide and smooth swim current right? I'm also looking for any input on build quality since the swim spa will be placed outdoor with no shades. Located in Charlotte, NC so I'm not very concerned about deep freeze winter with snow.

I'm leaning toward ATV-17 due to the lower price but the dealer is 1.5 hr / 100 miles away. They have no problem with delivery but not sure if I'll ever need them for post-purchase support. Hydropool and Jacuzzi dealers are local.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!
