Title: Pump Temperature
Post by: TLWR on November 26, 2022, 05:06:00 pm
Opened my access door to check the ozone generator and the heat coming off the pump hit me. A google search tells me that in general, the temp should allow you to put your hand on a pump, is that true? I certainly don't remember this much heat is the past. This is after use, so it had been running for a bit, but 214 seems crazy to me. Is this a problem?

160ish would be max in my book. Check for blockage in wet end, motor amp draw, noisy bearings. Leave the panel open and let it cool and then run it again for 5-15 mins and see if it reaches that temp again. Could be a ventilation issue. Do not ignore it as it could lead to bigger issues like fire
